HIM announces their first U.S. headline tour in support of their forthcoming new studio album, Tears On Tape. Dubbed “Tears On Tour,” the May 2013 run will make scheduled stops in both Los Angeles and New York City (tour dates below). Tears On Tape will be released on April 30th on Razor & Tie in North America/Canada.
Wind-up Records has announced the signing of rock act Filter. The band is currently readying a new album in Los Angeles at BLUE ROOM studio’s with producer Bob Marlette. Formed in 1993, Filter has enjoyed significant success over the past two decades, This will be the band’s sixth studio album, and follows the 2010 offering The Trouble with Angels. The bands decorated history also includes such platinum and gold recordings as Short Bus (1995), Title of Record (1999), The Amalgamut (2002), and Anthems for the Damned (2008).

After spending months deep inside their arctic fortress working on what will be their next album, your Lords and Masters GWAR have announced their return to the road in North America. The second leg of the “Fate or Chaos” tour is scheduled to kick off April 10th in Tucson, AZ and will run through April 25th in Jacksonville, Florida. Support on the tour will come from Warbeast and Wilson. Tickets go on sale this Friday February 15th.

Heavy metal icon collective DOWN has announced that they will perform a handful of headline dates this May. Kicking things off on May 23 in Birmingham, AL – the band will stop in 7 cities in the Southeast including Baltimore’s Maryland Deathfest, and wrap things up with a hometown show in New Orleans on May 31.
