In 2006, writer Greg Pak along with artists Carlo Pagulayan and Aaron Lopresti crafted PLANET HULK, one of the most iconic stories to ever grace the pages of Incredible Hulk, and this November, Pak will return to this storyline in PLANET HULK: WORLDBREAKER! This five-issue limited series will take place a thousand years into the future and present a shocking expansion and culmination of the mythos of Sakaar. Pak will be joined by visionary Devil’s Reign artist Manuel Garcia.  

This November, Marvel Comics will publish a special one-shot starring one of the most iconic comic villains of all time—THANOS! THANOS: DEATH NOTES will be an oversized issue containing riveting stories about the Mad Titan’s life and begin the path towards his next conquest. With over 840,000 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin issues in print and the newly released hardcover collection currently flying off shelves, IDW in partnership with Paramount Consumer Products is thrilled to announce a follow-up to the popular comic book miniseries and graphic novel collection, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin–The Lost Years, debuting in November 2022. Written by TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman and series veteran Tom Waltz and illustrated by SL Gallant and returning artist Ben Bishop, Lost Years digs deeper into the world of the Ronin-verse, adding breadth and scope to one of TMNT’s most ravenously devoured, widely beloved, and critically acclaimed entries of all time.  

This year marks 60 years of one of comic books’ greatest icons—SPIDER-MAN! In addition to an exciting relaunch of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, a stunning variant cover program, and more, Marvel Comics will also celebrate this milestone anniversary with a special issue honoring the comic that started it all, AMAZING FANTASY. Arriving in August, AMAZING FANTASY #1000 will be a giant-sized one-shot with stories that explore the past, present, and future of Amazing Spider-Man storytelling!  

In the wake of DEVIL’S REIGN, super heroes have been outlawed in New York City but starting next month, a new team of authorized super heroes will assemble in THUNDERBOLTS #1! The five-issue limited series will be written by former THUNDERBOLTS scribe Jim Zub and drawn by artist Sean Izaakse, known for his recent work on Fantastic Four: Life Story. In the classic Thunderbolts tradition, Zub and Izaakse will introduce an unexpected lineup that mixes together iconic Marvel super heroes, fan-favorite breakout stars, conflicted anti-heroes, and exciting newcomers.  

Skybound announced the first-class creative teams and stories behind Creepshow #2, the upcoming issue of the hugely anticipated five-issue comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s hit Shudder TV series produced by Cartel Entertainment, which is also acting as the studio for the TV series. Creepshow #2 will arrive in comic book shops on October 26, 2022.  

IDW, under license by Toho International, Inc., announces the triumphant return of the one-and-only King of the Monsters in the upcoming five-issue miniseries Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors–All Hail the King!, premiering in October.  

J. Scott Campbell’s latest Anniversary Variant Cover has been unveiled! Gracing the debut issue of the Avengers’ newest ongoing series, ALL-OUT AVENGERS, Campbell’s new cover will honor the 60th anniversary of founding Avenger, Ant-Man! The stunning piece pays homage to legendary artist Bob Layton’s iconic Marvel Premiere #47 and, like all of Campbell’s anniversary covers, will also be available in a retro version and as a virgin cover. Hitting stands next month, this cover will follow Campbell’s recent covers starring Thor, Hulk, and Spider-Man as this best-selling artist helps Marvel celebrate the anniversaries of some of its greatest heroes all year long!

Marvel’s famous panel Next Big Thing Panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con just concluded and, as always, it was filled to the brim with announcements, first looks, and teases about the future of the Marvel Universe! Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, Executive Editor Nick Lowe, editors Darren Shan and Lauren Bisom and an incredible lineup of creators including Christopher Cantwell (Iron Man), Jonathan Hickman (X-Men), Ram V (Venom, Carnage), and Collin Kelly & Jackson Lanzing (Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty) came together to reveal some of the hottest Marvel titles coming your way in the next few months. Here’s some of the panel’s biggest announcements!  

Devilish details about DARK WEB have emerged during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con! Teased in various panels throughout the weekend, DARK WEB will be a Spider-Man/X-Men crossover story spearheaded by current AMAZING SPIDER-MAN scribe Zeb Wells. The saga will begin in prelude issues throughout November, followed by December’s DARK WEB ALPHA #1 where Wells will be joined by superstar artist Adam Kubert. From there, the web will be spun across issues of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN as well as various tie-in one-shots and limited series.  

Known for his legendary and impactful run on INCREDIBLE HULK, superstar comics writer Peter David is proving his acclaimed work on the Hulk mythos is far from over! Having just finished an epic trilogy of limited series that told the grand saga of Hulk villain MAESTRO, David will now turn his attention to another iconic creation of his—JOE FIXIT! The fan-favorite Hulk persona that muscled his way through Las Vegas as a hedonistic bodyguard will star in his very own limited series set during David’s original time on the INCREDLBLE HULK. Joining David in this Sin City adventure will be artist Yildiray Cinar (The Marvels).
