Two momentous new releases will join Kyle Higgins and Marcelo Costa’s Radiant Black in the Image Comics superhero universe in February 2022.  

In February, IDW will redefine the meaning of villainy with the first issue of Transformers: War’s End, a must-read four-part miniseries written by Brian Ruckley, the architect of IDW’s monthly Transformers continuity, and illustrated by Jack Lawrence (Transformers: Lost Light).  

After being exiled in the pages of HOUSE OF X, Victor Creed will return this February in an all-new limited series written by novelist Victor LaValle and drawn by artist Leonard Kirk. SABRETOOTH will reveal the dark truth behind Krakoan justice as readers see what happened after Sabretooth went into the Pit, sentenced to an eternity of torment. What’s he been doing down there?  

IDW, the proud home to Star Trek comic books and graphic novels since 2007, will explore strange new worlds beginning in February with Star Trek: Klingons, the first thrilling installment in a series of extra-long one-shots spotlighting the franchise’s many memorable alien species.  

The Scorched comic series, Todd McFarlane’s highly anticipated first ever superhero team book, is next on deck in the Year of Spawn. It follows his three record-breaking new comic title releases in 2021. McFarlane’s chosen creative team for The Scorched series is the top creative team with writer Sean Lewis and artists Stephen Segovia and Paulo Sequeria. The Scorched #1 is the first all-new issue of McFarlane’s Superhero team book. After 30 years of the regular monthly Spawn book, The Scorched gathers the best characters for three decades and puts them together into one title. The first issue’s initial characters in The Scorched #1 will include Reaper, Spawn, Redeemer, Gunslinger, Medieval Spawn,... 

– Entrepreneur Josh Jones has acquired the animated film and television rights to Groo the Wanderer, legendary cartoonist Sergio Aragonés’ beloved comics character, with the intent of producing the character’s first-ever animated entertainment via Jones’ Did I Err Productions company.  

Image Comics archivist and co-founder Jim Valentino details the company’s history (warts and all!) in the single most comprehensive chronology of the company ever published—The Official Image Timeline. The one-shot will hit shelves in February 2022, just in time for Image Comics’ 30th anniversary.  

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of John Prophet with a facsimile edition of Prophet #1 by Rob Liefeld with art by Dan Panoisian in a remastered version, highly collectible form. The Prophet #1 Facsimile Edition will land in stores in February from Image Comics—just in time to mark this milestone in comics history.  

The early years of the Caped Crusader get a closer examination as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) brings the fully-remastered The Batman: The Complete Series to Blu-ray for the very first time. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC, the 65-episode box set will be distributed February 1, 2022 by WBHE on Blu-ray+Digital ($69.99 SRP) in the United States, and a Blu-ray only package ($79.98 SRP) in Canada.  

Starting in January, X LIVES OF WOLVERINE and X DEATHS OF WOLVERINE, a pair of interlocking series will usher in The Second Krakoan Age of X-Men! Week after week, writer Benjamin Percy and artists Joshua Cassara, Federico Vicentini, and Adam Kubert will journey across Wolverine’s history and future to deliver a transformative epic packed with revelations and exciting developments not just for Logan but for all of mutantkind.
