For the first time in 14 years, NYC death metal squad DEHUMANIZED has unleashed an album upon the masses.  

March 26, 2013 is going to be a very good day for SEVENDUST fans.  That day brings the highly anticipated release of the band’s brand new album, their ninth studio effort, BLACK OUT THE SUN, on their 7Bros. Records label (through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group).  The first single, “Decay,” will be released to radio and available for download at online retail outlets January 22, 2013.  

Today, NEUROSIS has made an official band statement. “As of today, after much thought and discussion, visual projections as we have presented them over the last 20 years will no longer be part of Neurosis live shows.  

Reprise Records’ Green Day today announced they would premiere highlights from their documentary ¡Quatro! on VH1. ¡Quatro! pulls back the curtain and takes fans inside the world of Green Day, from the various spontaneous live performances in select cities across the U.S. to the chronicling of their creative process while conceptualizing and recording their current trilogy of albums: Green Day ¡Uno!, Green Day ¡Dos!, Green Day ¡Tré! ¡Quatro! will premiere on VH1 on Wednesday, November 28th, followed by airings on MTV2 during 120 Minutes on November 30th and on Palladia the same day. ¡Quatro! is directed by Tim Wheeler and produced by Tim Lynch for Farm League.  

Roseland ballroom was litered in a sea of black band tshirts on Friday November 16th. Bodies flooded the carpeted floor of this venue with their horns out and voices raised for the thrashing that was about to infest their ears. Merchandise booths packed with fans trying to add to their intimate collection of metal paraphernalia, bartenders slinging Bud Light’s for a heightened sense of music listening, and the speedy inhalation of cigarette smoke before the show only meant one thing. Lamb of God had returned to New York City, and New York City was ready for them.  

Legendary German power metallers GAMMA RAY will unleash Skeletons & Majesties Live as a two-CD set next month via Eagle Rock imprint Armoury Records. Set for North American release on December 4, 2012, Skeletons & Majesties Live is a near two-hour magnum opus spanning the band’s history and includes classics as well as tracks which were under-represented to date. A DVD version will be released stateside in January. Skeletons & Majesties Live was recorded and filmed during the band’s 2011 European tour at the legendary Z7 in Pratteln, Switzerland and  is the first properly HD-filmed live video production of the band’s epic 20+ year career.  

German guitar legend ULI JON ROTH will be returning to North America for a special tour commemorating his 40th anniversary of joining THE SCORPIONS.  

Growing up in the San Francisco area suburbs as young metal heads can make it quite likely to take influence from the pioneers of metal that spanned the area in the 1980’s. So it’s no surprise that Hatchet describes their sound as “Pure, Uncompromising, Bay Area Thrash Metal”.

Louisiana heavy metal marvel DOWN and Texas thrashers WARBEAST are pleased to announce several U.S. tour dates in 2013. The upcoming tour, dubbed “The Weed & Speed Tour: West Coast Throwdown in the Year of XIII”, will kick off on January 11, 2013 in Houston, TX at Warehouse Live. The tour will make its way through several states, coming to a close on February 1st in Chattanooga, TN at Track 29.
