Amanda Harvey Movies, News Comments Off on New Star Trek: Into Darkness Trailer

So we know that Benedict Cumberbatch is playing some flavor of villain. Khan or no Khan he’s releasing the fury. This is clear shown in the new trailer for Star Trek: Into Darkness that features him more and more as the promotional work goes on. I’m extremely excited. Does anyone else find it interesting though that J.J Abrams is doing Star Trek and Star Wars. There have been battles continuing since the dawn of both series about which was better. With the same director is there going to be a sway of judgement and argument? Who knows… But, here’s the pretty trailer for you to look at.

Would this happen to have anything to do with Christoper (Don’t Care about Character History) Nolan being producer on this film? Things that make you go HMMMM. We will be posting the changes here tomorrow.

Amanda Harvey Comic Book News, Movies, News, Reviews Comments Off on Wonder Women…A PBS special

Wonder Woman is a name the is so famous that it is almost completely disassociated with the comic world itself. She is in herself  her own entity. She instills hope, power, and courage into young girls and women alike. Even though she is the essence of women’s power incarnate she, as many women through the ages, has suffered heartache, disempowerment, and prejudice. In Wonder Women! The Untold Story of American Superheroines, a PBS special, we find out the story behind the woman that made her what she is today.

Amanda Harvey Comic Book News, Movies, News Comments Off on The Wolverine, be excited.

After the atrocity that was Wolverine: Origins aired a couple years ago, I think it’s safe to say that we’re all cautiously optimistic about the premiere of The Wolverine. I say this because Origins was one of my favorite comics to hit stores in a long time. How it was possible to fuck up that arch so badly is beyond me. You wait three fucking movies to introduce Gambit and then make him the biggest pussy the world has ever seen? COME ON GUYS. I digress. Here’s the trailer for the movie if you haven’t seen it already. I’ve got my fingers crossed and my hopes up.

It’s no surprise that any period piece from modern times is going to incorporate the crooked, backstabbing atrocity that is our financial industry. However, with a new twist from director Uwe Boll, we watch and cheer on a vigilante that stands for the bottom dog and everything he has been screwed out of.

Amanda Harvey Comic Book News, Movies, Reviews Comments Off on Batman: The Dark Knight Returns pt. 2 review

The history of batman animated films has been a slough of detective work, gadgets, and campy humor…until now. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns part 2 brings the audience a new spin of script and violence that no other batman animated film has seen before. Beautifully directed, cast, and animated this film will go down in comic history as the first of it’s kind to tap Frank Millers perspective on the Dark Knight himself.
