 This summer, Marvel Comics and DC Comics join forces to bring JLA/AVENGERS, the 2003 limited series by legendary creators Kurt Busiek and George Pérez, back to comic shops! The history-making four-issue saga will be boldly re-presented in its original form as new Facsimile Editions with original trade tress and wraparound card stock covers. Marvel Comics will publish JLA/AVENGERS #1 (May) and #3 (July) while DC Comics will publish AVENGERS/JLA #2 (June) and #4 (August). The issues will also feature all-new variant covers.  

Eisner Award nominated artist Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night, Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse, Fell) will join the team as interior artist on James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds’ bestselling thriller series The Department of Truth for an all-new story arc. This savage new chapter will begin next month with The Department of Truth #36 out from Image Comics.

This summer, the Avengers undergo a transformation the likes of which hasn’t been seen since Avengers: Disassembled in ARMAGEDDON, a new Marvel Comics event from Chip Zdarsky. The superstar writer is currently laying key groundwork for ARMAGEDDON in his acclaimed run of CAPTAIN AMERICA as well as WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON, a prelude series launching later this month. Today, fans can see what’s to come in both titles this May, just before ARMAGEDDON arrives the following month.  

In a major crossover between the comic and film worlds, Blumhouse-Atomic Monster is adapting the breakout supernatural thriller comic book series, THE EXORCISM AT 1600 PENN. An IDW Publishing original horror from creator and writer, Hannah Rose May, and artist, Vanesa Del Rey, the acclaimed series will make the leap from page to screen in what is a landmark collaboration between one of horror’s most influential studios and one of the genre’s boldest emerging storytelling voices.  

Amazon’s Prime Video has picked up an eight-episode show based on the acclaimed graphic novel series Sex Criminals by Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Kumail Nanjiani, Emily V. Gordon (The Big Sick) and Tze Chun (Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai) are co-creators of the series, and Nanjiani is also set for an acting role.  

The Ultimate Universe may be coming to an end, but its legacy lives on in REBORN: ULTIMATE IMPACT! Following the final issue of ULTIMATE ENDGAME in April, REBORN: ULTIMATE IMPACT will reveal the Ultimate Universe’s lasting effect on the main Marvel Universe.
