This year, Marvel Comics is proud to honor 60 awe-inspiring years of the Avengers and the X-Men! New comic titles, collections, and much more are in store for fans all year long, and starting in August, Alex Ross will grace the celebration with his acclaimed artwork! For this milestone of two of the comic book industry’s most groundbreaking super hero teams, the incomparable artist has turned out two stunning art pieces that will serve as connecting variant covers on various Avengers and X-Men titles throughout 2023. Retailers got a sneak peek at the artwork last month at ComicsPro, and now it’s time to see them in all their painted glory!  

Top Cow Productions, Inc., the company behind The Darkness and Cyberforce, reunites Infinite Dark team Ryan Cady (Batman: Urban Legends, Green Lantern) and Andrea Mutti (Batman Eternal, Port of Earth) to develop a new sci-fi, horror series, Haunt You to the End, which debuts on June 14.  

Legendary horror creator Steve Niles returns to IDW this summer with harrowing Gothic horror outing Brynmore, a five-part comic book miniseries set on a remote island plagued by a sinister generational curse. The grisly supernatural thriller, featuring art by Niles’ October Faction collaborator Damien Worm, debuts in June 2023.  

This June, Loki will unleash his unique brand of mayhem on the Marvel Universe again as he takes center stage in a brand-new solo series! Announced earlier this year, LOKI will be a four-issue limited series written by Dan Watters (Sword of Azrael, Arkham City) in his exciting Marvel Comics debut and drawn by acclaimed artist Germán Peralta (Black Panther, Maestro). Today, fans can learn even more about this new chapter for Loki as the main cover by Dustin Nguyen is unveiled!  

Bestselling Dracula, Motherf**ker creative team—Alex de Campi and Erica Henderson—reunite for the upcoming, original graphic novel Parasocial. This thrilling, psychological suspense story will hit shelves this October from Image Comics.  

In the pages of CAPTAIN AMERICA: SENTINEL OF LIBERTY and CAPTAIN AMERICA: SYMBOL OF TRUTH, Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson have embarked on separate thrilling journeys as Captain America, tackling new enemies and uncovering twisted conspiracies throughout the Marvel Universe. On April 12, their adventures will collide in an epic new crossover: CAPTAIN AMERICA: COLD WAR!  

Marvel Comics will be launching its first-ever 20th Century Studios comic book imprint this April! The new imprint will kick off with PLANET OF THE APES #1, on sale April 5, shortly followed by Marvel’s upcoming ALIEN and PREDATOR comic book series. Fans will see the 20th Century Studios comic book imprint reflected on PLANET OF THE APES, ALIEN and PREDATOR covers beginning with PLANET OF THE APES #1, ALIEN #1, and PREDATOR #2 in April and moving forward.  

Teased last week in a promotional image by artist Bryan Hitch, chaos will reign this summer in the new Marvel Comics saga, CONTEST OF CHAOS! The story will star the newly rejuvenated Agatha Harkness, fresh off her exciting role in Midnight Suns, as she attempts to craft a new Darkhold book using chaos magic. Led by writer Stephanie Phillips (Rogue & Gambit, Cosmic Ghost Rider), CONTEST OF CHAOS will unfold in multiple annuals throughout the summer by a host of all-star creators, beginning with a prelude issue in SCARLET WITCH ANNUAL #1.  

As Jed MacKay and C.F. Villa prepare to kick off a new era of AVENGERS this May, fans all week long can get a sneak peek of the stunning variant covers that will grace the debut issue. Today, feast your eyes on superstar artist Derrick Chew’s breathtaking cover spotlighting Scarlet Witch!  

Readers will get a chance to witness the Hulk’s fury from a horrifying new perspective in a fascinating new HULK ANNUAL this May! Written by David Pepose (Savage Avengers) and drawn by Caio Majado (Edge of Spider-Verse), the over-sized issue will present “The Viridian Project,” a terrifying tale stitched together from found footage. In the first major expansion of IDW’s bold new Star Trek comic book initiative, which began with the publication of Star Trek #400 in September 2022 and the launch of an ambitious new flagship series, Star Trek #1, in October, IDW is proud to announce the upcoming crossover event Star Trek: Day of Blood. This new arc will debut on May 6, 2023 with the short introductory interlude Prelude to Day of Blood, to be included in IDW’s Star Trek: Day of Blood Free Comic Book Day special. Prelude prefigures the formal kickoff of a sweeping new Trek crossover in July that will continue throughout other Star Trek comic book series, including IDW’s ongoing flagship Trek series and the recently announced Star Trek: Defiant...
