As 2022 draws to a close, IDW will bid farewell to its long-running series of G.I. JOE comic books with the publication of G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #300, written by indispensable visionary Larry Hama with art by legacy fan-favorite contributor SL Gallant, inks by Maria Keane, colors by J. Brown, and letters by Neil Uyetake. The final, overlength issue of the IDW comic will be published in November, and one of its sensational cover variants—illustrated by Jamie Sullivan—sets a new world record for the most characters featured on a comic book cover!  

In the opening arc of Donny Cates and Nic Klein’s hit run of THOR, fans witnessed a disturbing vision of the Mad Titan Thanos laying waste to the Marvel Universe! Since then, Thor has done everything in his power to prevent this future from coming to pass, but has it been enough?

Right now, fans are witnessing a revolution of the Spider-Man mythos in EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE! Each jam-packed issue contains thrilling stories by all-star creators that introduces breakout new Spider-Heroes like Spider-Rex, the new Spider-UK, and Sun-Spider and redefines fan-favorite heroes like Araña, Spider-Man Noir, and Spider-Ham. Arriving on October 5, EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE #5, the final issue of limited series will debut three extraordinary new heroes, each one swinging onto the scene to take readers headfirst into a brand new era of Spider-Verse storytelling!  

Forty years ago, Miracleman’s modern era began and changed the world of comics as we know it. Now, on the cusp of a new era of Miracleman, Marvel Comics is proud to celebrate all things Kimota in MIRACLEMAN #0! In this giant-sized one-shot, comic book visionaries Neil Gaiman and Mark Buckingham make their long-awaited return to Miracleman’s saga with a special story that leads into MIRACLEMAN: THE SILVER AGE #1! Also on sale in October, MIRACLEMAN: THE SILVER AGE #1 will see Gaiman and Buckingham’s return to their unfinished Miracleman epic, recreating and completing the most anticipated story in comic book history!  

Next month, Marvel Comics is proud to honor Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month by celebrating Latin and Latinx creators and characters in a new issue of MARVEL’S VOICES: COMUNIDADES, a giant-sized one-shot of uplifting and action-packed tales set throughout the Marvel Universe! In addition, artist Leonardo Romero, known for his eye-catching work on titles like Hawkeye and Shuri, will highlight some of your favorite Latin and Latinx super heroes in a new collection of variant covers. Gracing the covers of some of Marvel’s hottest current titles, these six art pieces showcase the cultural richness of Marvel Comics with a diverse lineup of heroes from many backgrounds!  

Throughout the last year, superstar artist J. Scott Campbell has helped Marvel Comics honor the milestone anniversaries of some of comic book’s greatest icons including Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, and Ant-Man! Up next will be a cover for October’s DAREDEVIL #4 featuring Luke Cage who’s celebrating 50 thrilling years of defending the streets of the Marvel Universe as a solo fighter, a Hero for Hire, and an Avenger! The stunning piece depicts Luke in his iconic Power Man costume and, like all of Campbell’s anniversary covers, will also be available in a retro version and as a virgin cover.  

In 2023, a band of vampires will creep out of the darkest depths of the Marvel Universe to do the unthinkable–save the world! The FORGIVEN, the fan-favorite team of unlikely super heroes that debuted in 2011’s Fear Itself: Hulk vs. Dracula, will star in a series of one-shots next year. Written by Tim Seeley and drawn by Sid Kotian, the three-part story will reintroduce these strange heroes and see them make big waves across the Marvel Universe, interacting with the likes of the X-Men, Spider-Man, and, the team’s inspiration, Captain America.  

Death metal legends CANNIBAL CORPSE will close out 2022 with a North American headlining tour! The month-long journey will commence November 3rd in Silver Springs, Maryland and run through December 10th in St. Petersburg, Florida with support provided by Dark Funeral, Immolation, and Black Anvil. The trek includes a headlining performance at the first annual Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Denver on December 2nd. Additionally, the band will appear on this year’s edition of the Blue Ridge Rock Festival this September. See all confirmed dates below.  

Since the very dawn of the Marvel super hero age, Janet Van Dyne has enchanted comic book fans as the founding Avenger known as the Wasp! Now, after 60 years of being a super hero and fashion icon, the character will headline a new four-issue limited series!  

Next summer, fans can enjoy one of the most poignant Spidey stories ever told in the JEPH LOEB & TIM SALE: SPIDER-MAN GALLERY EDITION HARDCOVER. The iconic SPIDER-MAN: BLUE limited series by Eisner Award-winning team Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale will receive Marvel Comics’ oversized gallery treatment, honoring Sale’s lush artwork in all its glory!
