This week Kevin Smith announced that he has finally completed a first draft of the long awaited Clerks III. “IT IS ACCOMPLISHED!” Smith proclaims via Twitter. “First draft of CLERKS III is 137 pages.” I hefty accomplishment. Fans can sit at ease though. It took 12 years between the first and the second film, this one will only take roughly 8. What with the first film being an instant cult classic in it’s nostalgic black and white demeanor, we can only have high hopes for stylization and crack up writing. Smith claims that this film will be the “Empire Strikes Back of the Clerks trilogy.” We can only speculate some crazy comparisons. I’m crossing my fingers that Dante...

Shadow Kingdom Records debut’s The Vein’s first album Scouring the Wreckage of Time. Between creating other metal albums, the two Altar of Oblivion members formed the Vein. They are a Death/Doom Metal twist to their previous project Altar of Oblivion, and have done different takes on albums like last years Grand Gesture of Defiance. Although these bands are very similar The Vein offers something much darker and heavier. Their style is very relatable to classic 80’s and 90’s death metal. This is a double EP feature being released which is a unique and rare find.

Anyone who knows nothing about comics can go into these films and enjoy them. With this being said, at what cost does Hollywood press to keep the masses happy instead of the fans that kept this company alive for so long?
