Italy’s FATHER MURPHY is currently en route to the East Coast where they’ll spread their eccentric and diseased hymns across North America on an epic month-long journey, with additional rituals recently added in Washington, DC, San Diego, Salt Lake City and Albany. The trek includes a live appearance on June 19th at WFMU in Jersey City, New Jersey.  

Legendary doom metal dignitaries SAINT VITUS will celebrate their thirty-fifth anniversary with a short run of live rituals later this week. Sponsored by Scion AV, the trek inaugurates on May 8th in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will wind its way West and back again, coming to a close on May 25th in Dallas, Texas.  

After a two-year hiatus, Ohio technical grinding death metal peddlers LOCUSTA will be embarking on a live takeover through the East Coast this Spring! Slated to commence on May 13th in Raleigh, North Caroline, LOCUSTA will rape faces through Columbia, Knoxville, Columbus, Washington DC, Baltimore, Brooklyn, Providence, Portland, Philadelphia, Harrisonburg and Richmond with additional incursions to be announced in the coming weeks. The band will be joined by drummer Alex Tomlin (Battlemaster, Arsis, Withered et al).  

USX violinist, Meghan Mulhearn‘s heady solo outing, DIVINE CIRCLES, is currently spreading their ethereal Appalachian dark folk across the US on a short run of live rituals alongside Elisa Faires.  

Reading, Pennsylvania natives, RIVERS OF NIHIL, continue their ascent of the death metal ladder with a brand new music video. “Birth Of The Omnisavior” is a sleek and dark video that captures visually what this band does so well sonically: play emboldened, deftly-executed death metal at a level far beyond their years. Tomorrow evening, the twisted noise merchants in New York’s beloved GNAW will lay waste to Belgium with their harrowing odes of tension, terror and torment. From there, the crude collective will march on to France where they will join unholy forces with the experimental sound serpents in Italy’s OvO for an eight-date incursion of audio indecency.  

Following a hugely successful debut last December, the bringers of DENVER BLACK SKY are pleased to announce their second edition of live debauchery! Crowned “Colorado’s Best Metal Festival” by Denver Westword, this year’s DENVER BLACK SKY event will take place August 2nd and 3rd again at the Gothic Theatre and Moe’s BBQ and feature another vicious lineup  

Taiwanese metal collective CHTHONIC is readying to kick off another North American run as part of the fifth installment of Paganfest! Set to commence tomorrow in Springfield, Virginia, the band will join coheadliners Korpiklaani and Turisas as well as Varg and Winterhymn for nearly two dozen live incursions across North America.  

US-based brutal death metal label Comatose Music has announced the COMATOUR 2014, featuring some of the sickest acts in extreme metal today.
