Surrounding the impending NYC-based apocalyptic music event, APEX FEST VI, early this June, fest-related tours throughout the Northeast leading up to and subsequent to the main gala have been set in place.

In celebration of the release of the first-ever VAN HALEN live album with David Lee Roth, TOKYO DOME LIVE IN CONCERT, and to announce the band’s 2015 Summer/Fall North American Tour, VAN HALEN performed a special concert for Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, March 30, on Hollywood Boulevard, performing some of the band’s essential rock and roll classics. Portions of the concert aired last night on the late night talk show, with additional concert footage airing tonight. Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. / 10:35 p.m. Central time on ABC.  

UK straightedge hardcore quintet, VIOLENT REACTION, proudly releases their sophomore LP, Marching On, through Revelation Records tomorrow, as their third US tour begins, alongside countrymates Arms Race. With several new updates to the tour routing just in, VIOLENT REACTION has also been officially added to the Damaged City Fest on April 11th in Washington, DC, closing down the eleven-city tour alongside The Mob, United Mutilation, Night Fever, No Tolerance, Career Suicide, Government Warning, Excruciating Terror, The Flex, Coke Bust, and dozens more.  

UK-based extreme metal duo, ANAAL NATHRAKH, will wage war on North America later this spring on a long-anticipated stretch of live incursions. Slated to embark on May 11th in Sacramento, the antagonistic twosome will march through a dozen metropolises, with their final massacre to take place at this year’s Maryland Death Fest on May 24th. The band will be joined by special guests Incite and labelmates, Secrets Of The Sky.  

Master sound manipulator/one-man industrial doom conjuror, Tristan Shone, better known as AUTHOR & PUNISHER, will wage his audio war upon Europe for an eight-date live takeover. Set to commence tomorrow in Hamburg, Germany, Shone will rumble the infrastructures of eight venues alongside Atari Teenage Riot on select dates.  

JADED STAR, the new act founded by former members of Visions Of Atlantis, Iced Earth, and more, just released a brand new lyric video for “Stars,” the fourth track from their upcoming Sensory Records debut album, Memories From The Future, which is nearing release mid-April.  

Death Valley High, the Bay Area band Consequence of Sound described as “hook-happy goth rock,” are currently wrapping up work on a five-song EP titled Duel with guest vocals from Deftones’ Chino Moreno, RevCo’s Chris Connelly, and Death Angel’s Mark Osegueda. The EP arrives in May with a release date to be announced shortly.  

Following the release of their brand new End 12″EP, out now via Get This Right Records and Beatdown Hardwear, Southeastern Pennsylvania’s CDC has confirmed the routing for their upcoming Spring US tour in support of the record. The tour runs from April 2nd through 13th, including shows down the East Coast and out to Puerto Rico for one gig before touring homeward.  

Royal Thunder, who release their sophomore album Crooked Doors on April 7 (via Relapse Records), announce the first North American tour in support of the eleven-song release.  

Philly’s DIE CHOKING trio takes their grindblasting mayhem out on a four-city run this week alongside NYC death henchmen, with shows in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey between this Thursday, March 26th and Sunday the 29th.  

American cult death/doom duo, ENCOFFINATION, will crawl forth from their usual obscurity early this April to deliver a rare wave of their macabre, slow-motion funeral marches to several East Coast US locations on the Abyss Of Funeral Winds Tour.
