Los Angeles, California’s GOATSNAKE has announced further live dates in Europe, kicking off at the end of May with their set at Temples Festival, and taking the band through territories new to them. This news comes alongside the completion of the recording of the band’s new album, which will see release on Southern Lord this Summer.

New York industrial/noise/power electronics entity, THEOLOGIAN, has penned several new live actions for the coming months, beginning with a performance at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar this Thursday, January 29th supporting British sound experimentalists and Crucial Blast labelmates, Ramleh.

San Antonio blackened death horde, HOD, is pleased to officially induct bassist, ZVS Gastelum, into their infernal ranks. Gastelum comes by way of Texas black metal legion, Plutonian Shore, as well as Gnostic, and replaced longtime HOD comrade, Robert “Trans AM” Coleman.  

Germany’s Downfall of Gaia will be back in the US this winter touring in support of their latest album, “Aeon Unveils The Thrones Of Decay.” The album delivers what metal.de calls “Anger, hatred, despair, but also catharsis” and promises to be a powerful live experience. The tour kicks off next week Thursday in Beacon, NY, and continues through February 13th with the final show at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, NY.  

Between the Buried and Me have been writing, rehearsing, and compiling ideas for their eighth full length album over the last several months. Finally, they have begun tracking with producer Jamie King in North Carolina. The band’s latest release, The Parallax II: Future Sequence, earned the band their highest Billboard Top 200 chart debut of their career at #22, and was widely heralded as one of the best progressive albums of 2012. With album number eight, the band promises to continue to challenge themselves and expand on the elements that makes them one of the finest progressive bands operating today.  

With the addition of new full-time members, the project forged as SCOTT KELLY AND THE ROAD HOME — orchestrated by Neurosis’ founding guitarist/vocalist, Scott Kelly — has since taken a new form as simply, THE ROAD HOME.  

Israeli metal outfit FERIUM will be supporting OTEP on its European headlining tour in March with THE AGONIST.  

In addition to their previously announced North American live takeover this March supporting progressive black metal technicians, Enslaved, long-running Portland doom monarchs, YOB, today reveal additional headlining stage rumblings. With various performances scattered prior to, throughout and following the Enslaved run, YOB will decimate ears in Sacramento, Boise, Columbus, Raleigh, Johnson City, Atlanta, Memphis, New Orleans, Houston, Austin, Albuquerque and Tucson. Support will be provided by noise rockers, Will Haven, doom wranglers, Witch Mountain and trance-inducing psych rock perpetrators, Ecstatic Vision (also on the Enslaved tour) on select dates.  

Battleground Records has confirmed the label’s impending ninth release, announcing the deluxe vinyl version of the gnarly Supa-Collider, the second full-length from fuzz/stoner rock champs, POWERED WIG MACHINE.  

One Man Army is the sixth studio album from Finnish folk metal forbearers, ENSIFERUM. Set to drop next month via Metal Blade Records, the predominantly analog-recorded offering was captured by award-winning producer Anssi Kippo (Children Of Bodom, Impaled Nazarene, Entwine etc.) at Astia-Studios in Lappeenranta, Finland and delivers eleven punishingly epic odes alongside a four-track bonus CD featuring the band’s rendition of Barathrum’s “Warmetal,” Iron Maiden’s “Wrathchild,” Uriah Heep’s “Lady In Black,” and Judas Priest’s “Breaking The Law“.
