Disney will not be able to incorporate any of the Marvel world on the east coast due to the fact that Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida already has pre-existing contracts with Marvel for their own Marvel Island. However, the west coast is fair game and so the mouse take the reins in their newest installment of franchise and merchandising.

More movie news from San Diego Comic Con has swept the nation. Joss Whedon took the stage and announced that Hank Pym a.k.a Ant-Man/Giant Man will not be featured in the film Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Does anyone else find this a little interesting considering Pym is the one who created the robot Ultron? I hope this isn’t the start of story line deviations.
Warner Brothers has announced a Batman/Superman crossover film at San Diego Comic Con this weekend. This is clearly a product of attempting to expand the universes, in which Marvel is the leading competitor. There has been a list compiled of all of the planned upcoming films. Henry Cavill will be reprising his role, but as to who will be playing Batman is up in the air considering Bale has thrown in the towel on the franchise.
Mary Jane Watson is no longer part of Amazing Spider-Man 2. Shailene Woodley was cast in the role and filmed multiple scenes for Sony’s superhero sequel, but has since been booted. Director Marc Webb explained “to streamline the story and focus on Peter and Gwen and their relationship,” that it would require MJ not the be there. According to a new interview, Woodley is more than satisfied by that concept.
