It’s the little subtlety of appearance that this great in the comic world displays in films that makes fans scream. However, this second of appearance went unnoticed in The Wolverine, due to the fact that he wasn’t there. Lee had a lot to say at the Toronto Fan Expo when he was approached about the subject. Lee first stated that he would not be performing his usual cameo in Snyder’s upcoming film Days of Future Past. He stated the reason that he wouldn’t be performing it was because he was attending the Fan Expo and didn’t want to let Toronto down by leaving to film the cameo. He also addressed that he was unable to be involved in The Wolverine because the trip to Australia to film would have been too much at his age. Will this lack of a minor element that features a legend start the downfall of comic book films as we know it? Lee also stated that his made for television series, The Annihilator, is on it’s way with an actor and production company attached however, no director has been assigned. Stan is also working on a new reality television show in which he travels the country searching for new comic book artist and writers. This information technically shouldn’t have been spilled, but we’re happy it happened.
