Lucasfilm Ltd. and Marvel Entertainment are extremely proud to announce the iconic Star Wars franchise will return to Marvel in 2015 with a line-up of three comic book titles chronicling the adventures of a galaxy far, far away. Beginning in January 2015, prepare for STAR WARS by writer Jason Aaron (Thor, Original Sin), artist John Cassaday (Astonishing X-Men) and colorist Laura Martin, DARTH VADER by writer Kieron Gillen and artist Salvador Larroca and PRINCESS LEIA by writer Mark Waid and artist Terry Dodson.
In collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood are putting “Halloween Horror Nights’” guests in the middle of an epic and primal war between the universe’s most deadly species in an all-new, horrifying maze inspired by the cult sci-fi franchise AVP: Alien vs. Predator, beginning Friday, September 19, 2014.
There has been a lot of debate about the picture of Gal Gaddot released at San Diego Comic Con. Some fans of the decades old heroine are reeling with fiery anger about her appearance. Some are claiming that she’s too thin, not tall enough, or not ethnically approriate to play the Amazonian princess of power. Others are extremely pleased with the remade costume saying that it screams warrior and exudes girl power. As the differences clash there has been one thing that has become completely evident, DC comics better be stepping on eggshells to make sure that this famed female hero is done right.
Fathom Events has joined FUNimation Entertainment and Screenvision to bring Earth’s greatest heroes to the U.S. in “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.” Anime aficionados won’t want to miss the stunning animation and epic villains featured in the first new “Dragon Ball Z” feature film in 17 years when it comes to movie theaters in the U.S. and Canada beginning August 5.
The chilling documentary Killer Legends will be available on DVD nationwide July 15, 2014. Killer Legends follows filmmakers Joshua Zeman and Rachel Mills as they investigate four timeless legends that continue to haunt the American public. Directed by Joshua Zeman, the documentary examines the urban legends of The Candyman, The Killer Clown, The Baby-Sitter and the Man Upstairs, and The Hookman. The DVD release (SRP $19.99) will also include seven special features on the urban legends.
As the days get closer for the release of Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, international trailers reveal a bit more on images of characters than we have seen in the past.
