The third and final wave of acts for the LA-based December edition of THE POWER OF THE RIFF has been announced, this week confirming the addition of INCANTATION, OBLITERATIONS, KOWLOON WALLED CITY, NECROT, LIES and CRYPT ROT to the event on December 17th and 18th, 2016. The two-day fest will carry on the tradition of bringing a diverse line up of heavy music together under one roof. Presented in conjunction with Southern Lord, each night of THE POWER OF THE RIFF will feature artists bridging the realms of underground extreme music, including a mix of both internationally-recognized and brand new acts.

Southern Lord is extremely pleased to be reviving the music of Philadelphia’s lost punk heroes, RUIN. Long considered a treasured local delicacy of the city’s earlier hardcore scene, RUIN released two albums during their original run — 1984’s He-Ho and 1986’s Fiat Lux — both of which will be combined in for a vinyl release this December.
