Today sees the official worldwide release of the The Anthropocene Extinction, the long-anticipated new full-length from San Diego deathgrind unit, CATTLE DECAPITATION. Produced by Dave Otero (Allegaeon, Cephalic Carnage) at Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado, The Anthropocene Extinction serves as CATTLE DECAPITATION‘s most sonically and thematically engrossing record of their maniacal discography.
As previously announced, progressive Metal legends FATES WARNING will be releasing 3 CD/DVD expanded edition of their critically acclaimed 1997 release “A Pleasant Shade of Gray” October 2nd on Metal Blade Records. “A Pleasant Shade of Gray” is a single song that is divided into twelve tracks. The album is notable for its darker mood and mixture of progressive rock and metal with hints of industrial, classical, and psychedelia. Pre-orders for the album have been launched, along with a live cut from the DVD.
Greensboro, North Carolina-based IRATA has completed their latest recording, the band’s second full-length, dubbing it Sweet Loris. The album is currently being pressed to vinyl and will see release through Kylesa-founded record label, Retro Futurist, in early October. Additionally, the band will support Kylesa alongside Inter Arma and Indian Handcrafts on an Eastern US tour in conjunction with the album’s release.
Last night, at the Wacken Open Air (W:O:A) music festival in northern Germany, Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) and Savatage wowed 80,000-plus attendees with a never-before-attempted music festival performance. Following a 40-minute Savatage set and a 40-minute TSO set, TSO and Savatage band members, across two of the festival’s main stages, performed a perfectly coordinated set of fan-favorites.

Burn Halo has announced the Wolves Of War Tour 2015 in the likeness of their forthcoming LP. “I’ve never been more excited to go on tour,” says guitarist Joey Roxx. “I cant wait for everyone to hear the new material and see what we’re going to bring live!” The band is enlisting support from Southern California compatriots HEARTIST and newcomers COURAGE MY LOVE.

Preparing for liftoff this Thursday August 6th in Louisville, Kentucky the band will antagonize ten locales including a performance at Dirt Fest in Birch Run, Michigan and Gwar B-Q in Richmond, Virginia with the caravan of chaos coming to a close on August 16th in Wilmington, North Carolina. Following their maiden trip across the Pacific last year, Australia’s gruesome twosome, DEAD, has washed back onto US soil for another putrid invasion of our Western shores, with a month-long tour beginning this evening.
