He will also be touring with Uli Jon Roth and Leslie West on the 3 Guitar Heroes tour (complete schedule below). The list of Schenker’s successes is extensive… As a young man he lent his very special sound, together with his brother Rudolf, to the Scorpions, which later made the band one of the first real international hard rock stars from Germany. In the 70s, he similarly helped the British rock legends U.F.O. to their definitive breakthrough, turning songs like “Rock Bottom” or “Doctor, Doctor” into hits...

Multi-platinum Atlantic recording artist, STAIND have announced they will mark the release of their new self-titled album by performing a special show in New York City to benefit the families of 9/11. The show will be held at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square on September 15th.  In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, tickets to the show will be priced at $9.11, with all revenue from the show to benefit the families of 9/11 victims.

Andy Whitfield, recent star of the Starz TV show Spartacus, has passed away. In March 2010, Whitfield was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, beginning treatment immediately in New Zealand.[10] This delayed production of season two of Spartacus: Blood and Sand.[10] Whitfield died of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma on 11 September 2011.

FDA Rekotz is happy to announce the signing of Stockholm’s scabby old school Death Metal horde ENDING QUEST. The band name is a tribute to Gorement’s album The Ending Quest. The band was formed by Stefan Nordström and Gustav Gunnarsson, as a way to have some good, friendly, violent fun with the HM-2 guitar sound. Later, as the lineup solidified with new musicians, they  mutated into a real band and  have recorded two demos – Led to the Slaughter (2010)

  Multi-platinum rock band Nickelback announced today that they will be releasing Here and Now November 21 on Roadrunner Records, a Warner Music Group label.  As a testament to Nickelback’s rare versatility to achieve multiple successes at various radio formats for more than a decade, Roadrunner Records will release two singles simultaneously.
