Newly solo iconic musician and evil disco king Wayne Static embarked on a US tour last night in Farmington, New Mexico. The tour crosses the nation and currently wraps up on February 25, 2012 in Window Rock, Arizona. Polkadot Cadaver and Defiler (starting Feb. 6) will also be performing on the upcoming shows. “I’m very excited to start out 2012 with a full U.S. tour,” said Static. “We’ll be playing some new songs from “Pighammer” along with a ton of old Static-X hits. So come out and do some shots with me and be ready to party!”
Wayne Static will be performing songs from his recently released debut solo album, Pighammer, which features Static’s signature crunchy guitar riffs, bouncy drum-beats, and dark overtones. For good measure fans can also expect a healthy dose of Static-X favorites mixed into the set.
Wayne Static’s career started with Static-X and their breakthrough debut, Wisconsin Death Trip, Static-X has sold over three million records, and the group completed multiple successful world tours including three Ozzfests, The Family Values Tour, and Gigantour.
