Long-defunct Swedish death metal legion ALTAR are set to unleash the most complete collection of recorded material from their six-year existence (1989 – 1995). Entitled Dark Domains, the compilation features 17 tracks, remastered by legendary multi-instrumentalist Dan Swanö at Unisound Studio, Sweden, as well as exclusive cover art and layout by Kontamination Design in Poland, and rare, never-before-seen photos hand-picked by the band. The Dark Domains comp is dedicated in loving memory to the late Mieszko Talarczyk (Nasum /ex-ALTAR)

By popular demand, Prosthetic Records will soon release The Collective, the critically acclaimed 2011 album by Houston progressive instrumentalists SCALE THE SUMMIT, on vinyl. Additionally, it will contain the bonus track “Redwoods,” a song recorded during The Collective sessions that to date has only been available on the Japanese version of the album.  

Italian death metal act HUMANGLED have recently completed recording a four-song follow up to their 2010 full-length, Fractal. Entitled Odd Ethics, the EP is set to be released in early/mid 2012 through Abyss Records. Odd Ethics was tracked at Italy’s Mel-1 Studios. Sound production was handled by Dan Swano (Unisound Studios). Cover art for Odd Ethics was designed by artist Marko Somero.
