Megadeth founder and frontman Dave Mustaine has announced the return of original bassist David Ellefson (1983-2002) to the iconic multi-platinum group. This reunion is appropriately timed to Megadeth’s upcoming historic month-long Rust In Peace 20th anniversary tour which launches March 1 in Spokane, WA. At these incredibly special shows, Megadeth will play their landmark, genre-defining 1990 album Rust In Peace in its entirety, in addition to other Megadeth favorites.
Sevendust have released the first single from their upcoming CD “Cold Day Memory”. It’s called Forever Dead. The CD is expected to come out in April. Finnish Love Metallers HIM are now streaming their seventh studio album Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice on their Myspace profile. The album, which was produced by Matt Squire (The Used, All Time Low, Saosin) was recently described by frontman Ville Valo as being “the most sexual album we’ve ever made”. Ville also added “I like the immediacy of it. There’s a lot of information put in short songs and they don’t let go. That was the whole vibe for me”.

British thrashers EVILE are currently tearing their way around Europe on a headlining European tour. The “Infecting Nations” tour has seen EVILE perform a string of shows up and down the UK, with the band now in mainland Europe. Joining EVILE on the tour are American thrashers WARBRINGER and Israel’s THE FADING. This is also EVILE’s first tour with their new bassist, JOEL GRAHAM, who joined the band following the tragic death of their original bassist, MIKE ALEXANDER.
