The 10th Annual MHK Metalfest is set to kick off next Thursday, October 28th in Manhattan, KS. The 3-day event will take place at two separate venues; Thursday’s show happening at Mel’s Tavern with the Friday and Saturday shows taking place at the Wareham Opera House, both located within a block of each other.
For the last thirteen years, Secret Sphere have been successfully building their reputation of power metal heroes. Strongly influenced by such acts as Dream Theater, Savatage and Helloween, this Italian group managed to develop a style of their own, forging together fast aggressive riffs and bold symphonic elements.
Boston rock group, HOURCAST, will be heading out on the road with CKY this fall. The tour begins October 29th in Teaneck, NJ and will wrap up on November 13th in Towson, MD. Addicted to Pain are certainly turning heads with their recently-released self-titled EP, which was overseen by renowned heavy metal producer Alex Perialas (Anthrax, S.O.D., Testament, Pro-Pain, etc.). And the Albany, New York-based trio – which is comprised of Leo Curley (vocals,guitar), Bob Horvath (bass), and Gregory Nash (drums) – are taking it to the streets, by opening for Texas Hippie Coalition on an upcoming tour, that will include dates in October and November on the east coast.
