Demigods of Swedish death metal, TORTURE DIVISION will be bringing their battle-tested brand of brutality to the stage in celebration of their latest offering, Evighetens Dårar. The show will take place on November 11th at The Metal Club in Karlstad, Sweden and will feature performances by KARENSDAG, HADDOCK, OLAGA HOT, DAMIEN and THE LAW. Details can be found on The Metal Club’s website ( in Swedish).
In a statement taken from the band’s website, TORTURE DIVISION mainman Lord K. Philipson had the following to say regarding the gig:
“We just started to rehearse individually for this coming gig, the first one since we played Getaway Festival this summer. To say we are stoked to get back on stage is an understatement. We will premiere a song or 2 that we haven’t played live before and the first time we will do it together is when we are on the actual stage. We like that shit.
I just played thru the set we have planned for the gig and it’s fucken insane how these songs still lurk somewhere back in my mind some 5 months after last playing them on the guitar. It went real smooth and now I will work it like I always do; play thru the set at least once a day until the date of the gig arrives. Then me and Tobben might do a soundcheck (J works and will get to the place of the gig like an hour before the gig so we have no time to soundcheck all of us), if not – hey, well… it’s not the first time we work it like this, haha…
We will have albums for sale at this concert, as well as some brand new merch – so bring yer cash and support TD so we can record more music and buy tons of beers. Make us the first death metal millionaires, ok?
That’s it. See ya in Karlstad. We are fucken dying to play for you guys.”
