In some genres, it’s a mixed bag: thrash metal, black metal, and punk all respectively don’t need to change anything, as the genre have unspoken rule books on how to write effectively; sometimes there just isn’t anything to reinvent and it’s better to keep the wheeling spinning as it always has.

It shook the In Flames fanbase at first, but when Peter Iwers stepped down as bassist, it was quickly announced that he was reuniting with former band mate Jesper Stromblad. Soon after, the project was revealed to be titled “CyHra” and other members were being announced around the same time. Little has been revealed since then, but we may be getting closer to finding out what they’ll be sounding like.
