Chilean Thrashers NUCLEAR have announced the October 23 release of a 3-CD Box Set called Captive in Terror: Three Ways to Kill Yourself on Candlelight Records. The Box Set contains the band’s first three albums of Hell-fueled Thrash Metal ferocity, two of which had been out of print. Included are 2006’s Heaven Denied, 2008’s Ten Broken Codes, and 2010’s Jehovirus.
The magnificent I / (Time) album by internationally-based progressive metal quintet, VLY — featuring current and former members of Crippled Black Phoenix, Änglagård, White Willow and more — is out now on Laser’s Edge, and a massive hi-res 24 bit/96 khz edition of the album is now available to stream in its entirety.
It has been three years since Cryptopsy‘s last release and many fans have expressed their eagerness to hear new material. This time, rather than a full album, the band will release a series of EPs entitled The Book of Suffering. This new approach will allow Cryptopsy to put out new music more often while remaining true to their standards of quality. The first EP in the series, The Book of Suffering Tome 1, was produced by Chris Donaldson at The Grid studio in Montreal, mixed by Jason Suecoff at Audiohammer Studio and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.
