Recently after announcing that the yet untitled sequel to 2014’s Godzilla was being pushed back to 2019,Legendary announced that Gareth Edwards, the director of the first film, would not be returning for the sequel.

ELSTREE 1976 explores the lives of the actors and extras behind one of the most celebrated Science Fiction films in cinematic history, Star Wars.  

I recall the internet exploding in 2014 as Edgar Wright announced his departure from Ant-Man. Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End all stand as some of my favorite movies, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is no doubt included in there, too. So when the acclaimed director left the new Marvel property I had wanted so badly, I was stunned. I wasn’t alone, as Evangeline Lilly (Hope van Dyne) even has gone on record stating that she nearly walked out of the film with the announcement. And by the time the first trailer dropped, it seemed confused as to whether it wanted to be dramatic or comedic. Ant-Man seemed like it was going to be Marvel’s first flop at the box office, even after Guardians of the Galaxy...

If you haven’t seen Episode VII yet, what are you doing with your life? Love it or hate it, you have to admit that there is much to discuss with the film ,and since the film’s release four months ago, the internet has been ablaze, searching for any information regarding Episode VIII. Since it’s currently filming (And we know the chances of leaks are very, very slim at this point) then it’s only a matter of time before we get any information on the film. Of course, the biggest points of discussion in the film seems to be Rey’s lineage and the steps she will be taking to become a Jedi. One of the most discussed aspects of her character seems to be drawing from the vision she undergoes upon finding the Skywalker... 

Something that should surprise absolutely no one, even if it weren’t in this current golden age of superhero movies, Fox has announced at CinemaCon that Deadpool 2 will definitely happen. Both Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller are both returning, as well as writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.

Toho surprised everyone yesterday when they unveiled the first trailer for their new Godzilla film, Godzilla Resurgence. (Shin Gojira in Japan) Not having made a Godzilla film in 12 years and having seen the success of Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla, Toho has made a titanic effort in order to bring their iconic mascot back to the forefront of cinema.  

After packing cinemas and collecting rave reviews around the world, THE DAMNED: Don’t You Wish That We Were Dead is coming to home video on May 20th.
