Relativity has closed a deal to finance, produced and distribute Anomaly, a live action feature based on the interactive comic book created and written by top showbiz lawyer Skip Brittenham and Brian Haberlin. The script will be written by Ed Ricourt and Joe Roth is producing with Relativity’s Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley. Set in the distant future, Anomaly centers on a disgraced Conglomerate Enforcer who gets a shot at redemption by leading a rag tag group of explorers on a first contact mission to a newly discovered planet.

There is trouble in paradise today in the world of DC Comics. The Authors of the recently released New 52’s Batwoman line have packed their bags and said goodbye after their heroine was not allowed to be wed. However, it is not an over protective father that is keeping her holy matrimony from occurring, it’s the scandal behind her lesbian relationship and the bad press that DC Comics feels that they will encounter if they put her only wish through to their pages.  

Famed comic book artist Jack Kirby would have been 96 today. He is best known for his work with Marvel, DC and Harvey Comics. The man, the myth, the legend passed away in 1996 to the world, but never in our hearts. He co-created Fantastic Four, X-Men, and The Hulk. He is a legend in the industry and today we honor his birthday.  

Marvel/Disney has released new movie posters for the upcoming film Thor:The Dark World. The posters feature Thor and devious brother Loki. Thor: The Dark World is due to hit screens in the UK on October 30 and the US on November 8.
