Platinum selling metal act DROWNING POOL has announced a worldwide deal with eOne Music and plans to release a new LP next year. “We are truly honored to be part of the eOne family,” says the band.  

Greensboro, North Carolina-based IRATA has completed their latest recording, the band’s second full-length, dubbing it Sweet Loris. The album is currently being pressed to vinyl and will see release through Kylesa-founded record label, Retro Futurist, in early October. Additionally, the band will support Kylesa alongside Inter Arma and Indian Handcrafts on an Eastern US tour in conjunction with the album’s release.  

After months of silence, Swedish death metal tyrants VAMPIRE strike with the release the 4-track mini LP entitled Cimmerian Shade. Out September 25th, Cimmerian Shade will be released digitally as well as on 10″ vinyl via Century Media Records.  

Finnish funeral doom duo, TYRANNY — featuring within its ranks current and former members of Corpsessed and Wormphlegm among others — will unleash their first new studio offering in a decade this Fall via Dark Descent Records. Titled Aeons In Tectonic Interment, the record offers up five diseased psalms of slow, tortured, epically bowel-rupturing grimness.  

Last night, at the Wacken Open Air (W:O:A) music festival in northern Germany, Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) and Savatage wowed 80,000-plus attendees with a never-before-attempted music festival performance. Following a 40-minute Savatage set and a 40-minute TSO set, TSO and Savatage band members, across two of the festival’s main stages, performed a perfectly coordinated set of fan-favorites.

Los Angeles based hip-hop/metal veterans Hollywood Undead will return to the road in North America this fall touring in support of their latest album Day of the Dead.  The 33-date tour will also feature Crown The Empire & I Prevail on most dates.
