Mexican dark death metal masters Agony Lords, are currently recording their long-awaited new album A Tomb For The Haunted. The band announced the following update: “Alberto Martinez (ex-NECROCCULTUS, LEPPER MESSIAH) joins Agony Lords. Oscar Lopez, bassist for the band since 1995, has unfortunately left the band due to personal and professional issues.”  

ONLY HUMAN, the new album from 12 STONES, isn’t out for another couple of months (September 6 on the Executive Music Group label via Fontana/Universal), but the buzz is already growing.

KYNG–singer/songwriter Eddie Veliz, bassist Tony Castaneda and drummer Pepe Clarke Magana—will release their debut album, TRAMPLED SUN, September 27 on REALID Records (through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group).  The first two singles, “Falling Down” and “Trails in Veins,” were mixed by Mike Watts (Adelita’s Way, Hopesfall, Quicksand, Brand New) and are set to hit radio airwaves mid-July and will be available for download on July 26.

eOne Music has completed a new, exclusive deal with hard rock supergroup CHICKENFOOT for North America. The group – Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith – will release its sophomore album, titled “Chickenfoot III,” in late September 2011.  

Sixx:A.M. have scored their first #1 hit at Active Rock with “Lies of the Beautiful People,” the first single from their second album, This Is Gonna Hurt.  “Lies” has reached #1 after holding strong at the #2 spot for 6 weeks, according to Mediabase.  The track is also steadily positioned at #3 at Mainstream Rock and is poised to keep climbing.
