Michael Schenker, a true purveyor first-class hard guitar rock, is set to release the aptly titled “Temple of Rock” on October 11 on CD, digital formats, and vinyl. He will also be touring with Uli Jon Roth and Leslie West on the 3 Guitar Heroes tour (complete schedule below). The list of Schenker’s successes is extensive… As a young man he lent his very special sound, together with his brother Rudolf, to the Scorpions, which later made the band one of the first real international hard rock stars from Germany. In the 70s, he similarly helped the British rock legends U.F.O. to their definitive breakthrough, turning songs like “Rock Bottom” or “Doctor, Doctor” into hits... 

Eve to Adam will be chatting with fans on their Ustream channel this coming Monday (9/12) on the eve of the release of their new album Banquet for a Starving Dog. The chat, which will commence at 8:30 PM EST/5:30 PM PST, will have the band playing clips of the new album and taking fan questions.  

Multi-platinum Atlantic recording artist, STAIND have announced they will mark the release of their new self-titled album by performing a special show in New York City to benefit the families of 9/11. The show will be held at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square on September 15th.  In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, tickets to the show will be priced at $9.11, with all revenue from the show to benefit the families of 9/11 victims.  

California melodic death metal legion, DREAMING DEAD, are currently putting the finishing touches on their upcoming new full-length. The follow-up to the band’s Within One full-length released via Ibex Moon in 2009 is set for release later this Fall.  

FDA Rekotz is happy to announce the signing of Stockholm’s scabby old school Death Metal horde ENDING QUEST. The band name is a tribute to Gorement’s album The Ending Quest. The band was formed by Stefan Nordström and Gustav Gunnarsson, as a way to have some good, friendly, violent fun with the HM-2 guitar sound. Later, as the lineup solidified with new musicians, they  mutated into a real band and  have recorded two demos – Led to the Slaughter (2010)  

DIABOLICAL will celebrate 15 years of existence by doing some selected European dates in September. Each date will see different local support bands and special guests. Considering the nature of the tour, the band will do more old material than usual, covering all    

  Multi-platinum rock band Nickelback announced today that they will be releasing Here and Now November 21 on Roadrunner Records, a Warner Music Group label.  As a testament to Nickelback’s rare versatility to achieve multiple successes at various radio formats for more than a decade, Roadrunner Records will release two singles simultaneously.   

The UK’s premier extreme metal antagonist, Cradle Of Filth, has revealed the track list and artwork for the band’s upcoming CD/DVD mini-album entitled, Evermore Darkly…. The follow-on from last year’s, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, will hit stores in North America on October 18th through Nuclear Blast Records. Artwork comes courtesy of Natalie Shau, whom also contributed the cover art for Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa.
