James Harren’s new hit Image/Skybound Entertainment comic book series Ultramega is rushing back to print on its debut issue. The kaiju-action series also revealed all four covers for issue #2: a stunning cover from Harren himself and a variant cover from Ian Bertram (Batman and Robin, Little Bird), both featured in a full color and black and white variant versions.
Beginning in June, Todd McFarlane officially releases the beginning of his new “world-building” universe. Nearly 30 years in the making, the highly anticipated SPAWN’S UNIVERSE #1 is set to visually expand with a reveal of some of the stunning artwork by superstar artists Brett Booth, Jim Cheung, McFarlane and colorist FCO. McFarlane takes on the writing duties for this inaugural book that will be the launchpad to build a bigger multi-character, interconnected comic book universe based around his top-selling monthly SPAWN comic.
When matchless vocalist/guitarist Alexi Laiho and guitarist Daniel Freyberg joined forces with Waltteri Väyrynen, Mitja Toivonen and live keyboardist Vili Itäpelto to form the explosive new metal pillar BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT, it was meant to mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Their sonic plans were massive – including an EP release in the spring followed by a full-length album later in the year. But this promising force ended far too soon in very late 2020.
