Amanda Harvey Gaming, News Comments Off on Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Plague?

I don’t think I’m the only on in thinking this game is blowing it’s load way too quickly. In October at New York Comic Con I remember there being a booth erected for the third game begging for preorders. No more than five month later at PAX EAST there was another booth built promoting the fourth game. I fully understand that Ubisoft has the means to produce epic games quickly, however, is the fan base going to be Assassin’s Creeded out by the time this new game is released?

Amanda Harvey Hard Music, News Comments Off on Gnaw joins Seventh Rule Recordings

Industrial band GNAW have joined Seventh Rule Recordings. GNAW is the brainchild of Alan Dubin (Khanate, Old, O.L.D.), Carter Thornton (Enos Slaughter), Jun Mizumachi (Ike Yard), Brian Beatrice and Eric Neuser. Their 2009 Conspiracy Records debut, This Face, described as a “genre destroying journey,” incorporated pounding percussion, factory noise, chordal slabs of guitar and bass, homemade electro-acoustic instruments and Dubin’s legendarily scathing vocal craftings. The band will release their second album, Horrible Chamber, later this year.

Wonder Woman is a name the is so famous that it is almost completely disassociated with the comic world itself. She is in herself  her own entity. Even though she is the essence of women’s power incarnate she, as many women through the ages, has suffered heartache, disempowerment, and prejudice. In Wonder Women! The Untold Story of American Superheroines, a PBS special, we find out the story behind the woman that made her what she is today.

Amanda Harvey Gaming, News, Reviews Comments Off on Bioshock Infinite: Spoilers and Parallels.

Let me first start by saying that the ending to this game left me so mind blown that I didn’t move out of my chair or speak to anyone for a solid half-hour after the credits had ended. I can also state that this franchise has been one of my favorites for the past decade. However, it wasn’t until four in the morning the night of completion that I had that Bioshock epiphany that really made the game so much more amazing to me.

Amanda Harvey Comic Book News, Movies, News Comments Off on The Wolverine, be excited.

After the atrocity that was Wolverine: Origins aired a couple years ago, I think it’s safe to say that we’re all cautiously optimistic about the premiere of The Wolverine. I say this because Origins was one of my favorite comics to hit stores in a long time. How it was possible to fuck up that arch so badly is beyond me. You wait three fucking movies to introduce Gambit and then make him the biggest pussy the world has ever seen? COME ON GUYS. I digress. Here’s the trailer for the movie if you haven’t seen it already. I’ve got my fingers crossed and my hopes up.

Amanda Harvey Comic Book News, News Comments Off on Darth Vader and the Ninth Assassin.

On April 17th, Dark Horse airs their newest in their collection Star Wars: Darth Vader and the 9th Assassin. Prior to this trade, eight assassins had been hired to murder the renowned Lord of the Sith. All eight had been slaughtered. The man who has enlisted the assassins as a motive of revenge has to pay a price for more hefty than his bottomless pockets can handle. However, when it comes to avenging his son, no price is too high.
