Pacific Northwestern psychedelic doom bringers, YOB, will bring their sonic enormity to stages this Fall on a lengthy North American headlining trek. Slated to commence on October 22nd in Boise, Idaho and conclude on November 21st in Oakland, California, the trio will quake the stages of over two dozen venues including a special performance at this year’s edition of Philip H. Anselmo’s Housecore Horror Fest in San Antonio, Texas. Support will come from San Francisco volume dealers, Black Cobra. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 14th.

Cannibal Corpse have spent the summer of 2015 conquering Europe, including stops at Hellfest, Wacken, Bloodstock, Brutal Assault, Party.San, Copenhell, Graspop, and numerous club shows. But they aren’t even close to being finished with 2015, yet. Cannibal Corpse have unveiled their plans for a massive US tour this fall. They are bringing a brutal package of bands with them across the United States beginning October 8th, and running through November 7th. Direct support is slated to come from Metal Blade label mates Cattle Decapitation, preceded by Sweden’s Soreption, plus a local opener on each show. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 14th. VIP upgrades will be announced soon, stay tuned to cannibalcorpse.net...

What can I say about the legacy of Dragon Ball Z. With its latest film, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F, series creator Akira Toriyama helps to supervise this latest installment with the return of the vile, and evil Freeza. Now, what differentiates the return of this antagonist into the DBZ world from any other rendition of Freeza’s schemes? Can when expect a lackadaisical approach to a rehashed franchise? On the contrary, it separates itself very nicely from a recycled use of characters. How have these heroes and villains evolved within a showdown of classic nostalgia? For starters, Gohan who from my perspective was always the “chosen one” of Goku’s offspring, is actually a former shell of his martial arts...
