THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER‘s devastating new album, Abysmal, serves to once again demonstrate why they are considered one of the most vital bands in contemporary death metal. The blistering new effort debuted at #45 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, as well as making very impressive debuts across the globe. See below for all first week charting specifics:
Marc Spector has been defending New York City for years as the masked vigilante known as Moon Knight. Or has he? Waking up in an insane asylum shakes that confidence. Turns out he’s been institutionalized since he was a child. But that can’t be true. Can it? Today, Marvel is pleased to announce MOON KNIGHT #1 – the brand new series coming next year from creators Jeff Lemire (Extraordinary X-Men, Sweet Tooth) and Greg Smallwood (Moon Knight)!
For the better part of two decades, LEVIATHAN has been at the forefront of American black metal with a constantly evolving approach but an unwavering dedication to a core of sheer negativity and darkness. Over the course of several full-lengths, sole member Wrest has continued to push boundaries within the genre but few were prepared for 2015’s Scar Sighted, possibly Wrest’s finest moment in a consistently challenging and surprising musical career.
This October, the most mysterious and enigmatic of the Inhumans is on his own for his very first ongoing series! Today, Marvel is pleased to present your new look at KARNAK #1 – the new series from critically acclaimed writer Warren Ellis (Moon Knight, Planetary) and rising star artist Gerardo Zaffino! Who is Karnak?
So what can we say after the 2 hour premier for heroes reborn. From the start, its hard to say if we can call this an immediate reboot or sequel, but what I have seen from the premier is a compilation of recycled bits of comic book fandom. The “reborn” aspect reminding me of the “Avengers Reborn” arc from the 90’s while Noah Bennets hidden base stems from a bat-cave depiction of bat-man. The idea that derives from what an “evo” is, is similar to what a “mutie” represents from X-Men.
New Jersey metallists Seven Witches are ready to assault your senses once again, with a fierce new album, ‘The Way of the Wicked.’ Comprised of singer Anthony Cross, guitarist Jack Frost, bassist Ronnie Parkes, and drummer Johnny Kelly, Seven Witches picks up exactly where their hard-hitting last album left off, 2013’s ‘Rebirth.’ And this is especially apparent in the album’s second video, “World Without Man.”
It has been three years since Cryptopsy‘s last release and many fans have expressed their eagerness to hear new material. This time, rather than a full album, the band will release a series of EPs entitled The Book of Suffering. This new approach will allow Cryptopsy to put out new music more often while remaining true to their standards of quality. The first EP in the series, The Book of Suffering Tome 1, was produced by Chris Donaldson at The Grid studio in Montreal, mixed by Jason Suecoff at Audiohammer Studio and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.
