Fresh off a double win at Montreal ComicCon’s HorrorFest for Best Film and Best Kill along with Best Feature at HorrorHound, OLD 37 has been selected to premiere in New York City at the 8th annual Bushwick Film Festival on October 2nd! A post-screening Q&A with writer/producer, Paul Travers as well as select cast Brandi Cyrus, Olivia Alexander, Jake Robinson, Catherine Blades, Susan McBrien and Gabriel Beer will be held following the screening. Tickets will also get you admission into the Opening Night Party on Thursday at Lot 45 in addition to the after party.  For more information on the Bushwick Film Festival, please visit: http://bushwickfilmfestival.com.
OLD 37 is the last ambulance ride you’ll ever take. Two psychotic brothers (Kane Hodder + Bill Moseley) intercept emergency calls in their father’s old ambulance to perform their own heinous medical procedures. When a shy girl-next-door becomes their latest target, she turns the tables on her captors to fight for her survival. Fast paced and blood soaked, OLD 37 taps into the most basic human fear, vulnerability. The words “don’t worry I’m a paramedic” will make you think twice before dialing 9-1-1. Fans can take their first look by watching the official trailer now, here: www.old37themovie.com.
Writer/producer, Paul Travers has attended the Bushwick Film Festival in the past as a guest and said: “It is an honor to have our New York City premiere of OLD 37 be presented by The Bushwick Film Festival. I attended the festival in 2009 and have kept a close eye on it since. Founder Kweighbaye Kotee has put her heart and soul into making this festival come to fruition every year and it truly shows. We cannot wait to scare the hell out of this crowd!”
When asked about OLD 37’s participation in this year’s festival, Kweighbaye Kotee (CEO/Director of Programming) expressed: “My love affair with films began with the horror genre. I was obsessed with classics like The Omen, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween. OLD 37 feels like one of the classics. It has the perfect balance of suspense and gore, creates deep fear, has great camera movement, stellar actors and a powerful soundtrack. It was absolutely terrifying to watch. But really, what I love most is Paul’s journey to move the story from concept to screen. It’s a tough battle that many filmmakers don’t win and The Bushwick Film Festival is honored to spotlight the victory and bring this incredible soon-to-be horror classic back home to NYC.”
VOD is set for September 29th and DVD is set to release on October 6th, 2015 (Epic Pictures + Anchor Bay Canada). Pre-order is available now via Amazon, and Best Buy.
