Candlelight Records today confirms June 24th as the North American release date of IX, the new album from CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. Produced by the band and long-time comrade John Custer, the album and lead single “On Your Way” will be available for preorders via iTunes, Amazon, and other popular outlets beginning May 13th.  

Tucson, Arizona’s GODHUNTER has confirmed an upcoming split release with their cohorts in Oakland, California’s Secrets Of The Sky, to be released in conjunction with their upcoming Western US tour together.

Massachusetts hellions, GOZU, will take their riffs overseas next week for their first-ever European takeover! Set to begin at the legendary Roadburn Festival, the band will wage a full-on volume ambush through ten select locales in the Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia and Italy, concluding with a performance at Desertfest in Berlin. GOZO will be touting the fruit of their The Fury Of A Patient Man full-length released last Spring via Small Stone.  

Washington, DC’s ILSA has completed tracking with Kevin Bernsten at Developing Nations in Baltimore for their fourth LP, The Felon’s Claw. With ten new tracks of the band’s most brutal material to date, and featuring the debut of new guitarist Tim Moyer (formerly of pre-ILSA outfit, Time Of The Wolf) as well as guest lead appearances by former axmen Lady Snowblood and Domenic Romeo.

The masked menaces in GHOUL today offer up a bloody bits of info of their forthcoming Hang Ten EP. A gore-splattered surf orgy of sound, the limited edition six-song (mostly) instrumental 10″ features guest vocals from Tony Foresta (Municipal Waste, Iron Reagan) as Henchman #1 and the inimitable R.A. MacLean (ex-Deadbolt) as Kreeg, alongside Digestor, Cremator, Fermentor, Dissector and The Moron Cavern-Shackled Choir.  

Portland punk metal day-ruiners, TOXIC HOLOCAUST, will join forces with Savannah, Georgia sludge warriors/labelmates, Black Tusk, for a European campaign of live destruction this Summer. The mayhem begins in Denmark where the trio will systematically devastate Copenhagen before joining team Black Tusk, along with Hamburg doom-sludge quartet Downfall Of Gaia, to ravage eight cities through Germany, Belgium and France including an appearance at this year’s Hellfest.

The California Groove Machine known as DEVILDRIVER have confirmed that they will be touring North America this summer, alongside co-headliners Whitechapel.  Support on the tour will come from Revocation, Carnifex, Rivers of Nihil and Fit For An Autopsy. Frontman Dez Fafara cannot wait for this tour start: “You all thought winter was over? Well WINTER KILLS continues. We are pumped to tour the USA in further support of WINTER KILLS. It’s an insane line up of great bands and great friends. Come on out.”  

Portland doom miscreants, GRAVES AT SEA, will embark upon a European live incursion later this month with fellow riff worshippers, Sourvein. Set to initiate with what’s bound to be a cataclysmic performance at this year’s Roadburn Fest in Tilburg, the band will punish twenty-four locales with the trek coming to a ceremonious close at Heavy Days In Doomtown in Denmark.  

Pennsylvania instrumental bass and drum trio, KING DEAD, are very pleased to announce the release of their debut EP. Recorded live in their practice/performance space, The Living Room, in Stroudsburg by Dave Reiser of Rock Hard Studios, the self-titled offering features five organic movements of ethereal, desert-styled Spaghetti Western psychedelia that seethe under the bulk of their own swirling, glassy-eyed heaviness. GOATWHORE‘s forthcoming new full-length, Constricting Rage Of The Merciless, is scheduled for release in North America on July 8th via Metal Blade Records. Fans who catch GOATWHORE live on the road as part of the Metal Alliance tour, set to commence later this week, will get the opportunity to reserve their copy of the CD at the band’s merch booth.
