Acclaimed Japanese all-girl heavy metal/teen-pop phenom BABYMETAL has been confirmed as direct tour support for Red Hot Chili Peppers’ first UK tour in five years. BABYMETAL’s sophomore album Metal Resistance(released in April via Sony/RAL) made an impressive debut atop Billboard’s “World Albums” chart and iTunes’ “Top Heavy Metal Albums” chart, while simultaneously entering at #2 on Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” chart, #17 on Billboard’s “Top Album Sales” chart and #39 on the overall Billboard 200.

The original concept was to have four still photographers placed strategically on a Florida set while the five members of Anthrax performed their new song “Monster At The End” live.  Each photographer would hold down his camera’s shutter button continuously for the near-four minute-long song, capturing a steady stream of hundreds of still images.

Brooklyn’s musical alchemists Candiria – long-known for fusing metal, hardcore, jazz, and hip-hop in a unique, inimitable blend – will release their new album, While They Were Sleeping, via Metal Blade Records on October 7th. It was recorded at Spaceman Sound in Brooklyn by Tom Tierney and Alex Mead-Fox, and produced by Candiria. It’s the band’s first album since 2009’s Kiss the Lie.
