NEW YEARS DAY have announced their latest touring plans for the Fall, which will see the group join on as part of “The Retrograde Tour” headlined by Crown The Empire. The upcoming trek in North America will be the band’s first back in the US since hitting the road with Hellyeah earlier this Spring.  

In going to and reviewing shows, I generally give a positive response to the grand majority of the bands I see. Perhaps it’s the musician in me, but I can see the level of production and how much time they’ve spent in preparing to go out on the road and perform, and I take that into account. Very rarely do I find bands I don’t enjoy in a live setting, but even more rarely do I actually feel something when I see a band. What it ultimately comes down to is whether the show is entertaining or not, but when a band can make me happy just by playing their music? That’s when you have something extraordinary.

Hard-rock scene staples Escape The Fate and Nonpoint have announced the Hate Poison tour, a 21 date co-headline tour across the U.S. The tour will kick off November 10th in Denver, CO and will include special guests Get Scared, Failure Anthem, and Through Fire.  

NONPOINT released their latest album, The Poison Red, earlier this summer, embarking on a near-constant tour schedule in support of their Spinefarm Records debut. The band will remain on the road for the rest of the year, embarking on a co-headline run with Escape the Fate this fall.

I spoke with a woman at the Deftones show on the August 11th about being a “long time fan” of a band: said artists come and go, they change styles, and sometimes they just change their genres entirely. However, rarely, do you see bands adapt, and that brought us into discussing Gore, the latest release by Deftones, and how it’s still still original and yet distinctly them. “I’ve been a fan since I heard ‘7 Words,’” she told me, but “But honest to God, I love everything they’ve put out.”  

After completing an extensive North American tour this past May/June, Act of Defiance is ready to get back out on the road this fall, headlining shows across the USA. Additionally, the band will appear with Killswitch Engage and Hellyeah on select dates, making this one trek not to be missed!
