The Force Awakens, Rogue One, and the forthcoming The Last Jedi have all broken tradition for the Star Wars franchise, in which all live-action films had previously been released in May of their releases. However, based on the returns of the former two films, December has worked extremely well for the juggernaut of a franchise, with Star Wars moving beyond its traditional Memorial Day release period. Lucasfilm seems to be doing a course correction in teh coming months.
It seems like forever since the last Dimmu Borgir album. While Abrahadabra was not the best received by the fans, it still helped Dimmu Borgir become the powerhouse of a symphonic black metal act they are known for being. Its been five years now and the band has been working on a supposed follow up album for some time now. Breaking the silence momentarily, Dimmu Borgir are now releasing an album to help tide fans over.

Not like the new Suicide Silence where they just aped another band’s sound and an aesthetic from twenty years ago, but where bands evolve their sound in a mindful and interesting way that abide by no rules but their own. The multi-dimensional, progressive-rock band, Coheed and Cambria announced today that they will be touring the US this spring, performing their landmark third album, “Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness”, in its entirety. The tour, entitled NEVERENDER GAIBSIV, will take the band across North America commencing on April 11, and ending May 20, and including stops at the Hollywood Palladium; Aragon Theater in Chicago; and the Blues Hill Bank Pavilion in Boston. This year is quickly shaping up to be a year of thrash shows that are unbelievably stacked.
