Luke Evans stars as Marston alongside Rebecca Hall and Bella Heathcote, who play Elizabeth Holloway Marston and Olive Byrne respectively. We reported a short time ago that New Hampshire’s former Vattnet Viskar was undergoing some major shifts behind the scenes. Abandoning the “Viskar” and shifting gears to just simply “Vattnet,” the band have finally lifted the curtain on what new direction in which the band is taking.

There’s a lot of talk in metal about progression and regression, (Particularly by myself) in which bands are given an ultimatum: progress or die. Many a band lose steam because they fail to do something new, ultimately fading back into irrelevance. Some bands can surely live off the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mentality for a good while before it gets stale, but often you see a band, once heralded as the new “it” band of the year, fade into the void of the underground scene. But what of regression, though? Is that a thing? Is it acceptable? Why would a band do that in the first place? Vallenfyre did exactly that, and they probably have answers.  

Coming off their most-successful world tour to date, Alter Bridge announces the release of a new live album and rarities collection. Multi-platinum and Grammy nominated hard rock group SALIVA announce headline dates for their summer Only the Sickest Survive tour. The first leg of the tour starts this week on June 7th in Ishpeming MI and hits cities East of the Mississippi. It ends on July 2nd in Jacksonville FL which is home base for members lead singer Bobby Amaru and bassist Brad Stewart – formerly of Shinedown and Fuel. More dates are being added throughout the summer into October with further announcements coming.
