I’m going to be blunt here, Exodus has some hardcore fans. They range from old school thrashers that grew up with the scene in the 80’s all the through to 10 year olds. That’s right, there was a kid, age 10, front and center at the show. More on that later. The point is, there was some quality friendly violent fun at the Gramercy Theatre in New York last night.
The brainchild of Master Producer/guitarist and vocalist Greg Hampton, (Alice Cooper’s ALONG CAME A SPIDER, Lita Ford’s WICKED WONDERLAND, Buckethead, etc) and including bassist Paul Ill and drummer David “Chilli” Moreno (both with equally impressive resumes incl. Bruce Dickinson, Puddle of Mudd, Courtney Love, etc.), this is one hellacious slice of Rock

The past year has been a massive success for Finland’s emerging prog/death metal supergroup, Barren Earth. What started out as a mere side project featuring members of Moonsorrow, Swallow The Sun, Kreator, and more, has resulted in the release of an EP, ‘Our Twilight’, a critically acclaimed full-length, Curse of the Red River, and numerous European shows and festivals.
How can we be so bold? Because we love this album, that’s why! Out of Time by Carbondale, IL’s Züül will renew your faith in the power of traditional heavy metal. Great riffs, killer solos, melodic twin leads, and catchy choruses collectively define every single one of these nine tracks. Taking influence from a variety of classic acts, such as TYGERS OF PAN TANG, VIRTUE, RIOT, and BLITZKRIEG, yet without sounding exactly like any one of them, Züül write the highest quality heavy metal and Out of Time is all the proof you’ll need.
After delivering a standout performance at this year’s Central Illinois Metalfest and laying waste to the States as a part of the Campaign For Death Metal Purity tour, Chicago’s CARDIAC ARREST are taking their skull-splitting brand of death metal back out on the road. Beginning August 25th, CARDIAC ARREST will join up with ENTHRONED, DESTROYER 666 and PATHOLOGY to close out what is already being called this summer’s most extreme tour.
