Legendary metal group Motörhead are set to release their 20th studio album, The Wörld is Yours, February 8th. Written and performed by the band’s Lemmy Kilmister, Philip Campbell, and Mikkey Dee in California and Wales, The Wörld is Yours was produced by longtime collaborator Cameron Webb, who also worked on Motörizer, Kiss Of Death and Inferno.  

X JAPAN, the most successful rock band in Japanese history, and EMI Music have signed an exclusive three-year manufacturing and distribution agreement that will have EMI Label Services handle the band’s releases in North America.  The first release will be the track “Jade” on March 15, followed by the band’s as yet untitled American debut set for a late Summer 2011 release.  

Shai Hulud is currently working on their follow up to 2008’s Misanthropy Pure, but in the mean time, have scheduled a short run of headlining dates along the east coast and Midwest. Along for the ride are Close Your Eyes, Monsters, I The Breather, and Counterparts.

  Portland, Oregon’s Across The Sun recorded their Metal Blade Records debut album, Before The Night Takes Us, with producer Daniel Castleman at Lambesis Studios in San Diego, CA. The album is the culmination of seven years of recording, touring and polishing their sound.

Static Age Records has set March 22nd as the release date for THE GUN SHOW‘s debut full-length album Discontentment. Recorded in late 2010 with producer Brian “Bone” Thorburn (Haste The Day), the album features a guest appearance by A Plea For Purging‘s Andy Atkins on the track “Negligence”.   

   Texas horde HOD will join forces with MARDUK, AURA NOIR, BLACK ANVIL and PANZERFAUST for this summer’s “Seven Bowls Of Wrath” tour, which kicks off in late May.
