Hey, even GWAR wear costumes to go Trick or Treating! Here’s GWAR on a pre-Halloween trick-or-treating excursion. The band went out to the suburbs of New Jersey to go trick-or-treating for the first time ever. GWAR got really into the holiday, even rocking costumes on top of costumes!  

A&M/Octone recording group Flyleaf announce the departure of long time singer Lacey Sturm today.  

Chicago’s epic doom metal act EARTHEN GRAVE announces that the band has parted ways with longtime drummer Scott Davidson. Davidson played on the group’s 2009 Dismal Times debut EP and recently-released full-length album Earthen Grave.  

70’s inspired hard rockers, BLOOD OF THE SUN, featuring ST. VITUS drummer Henry Vasquez, will release Burning on the Wings of Desire in North America on November 27th on Listenable Records.  

The Sword and their U.S. based label, Razor & Tie are pleased to announce that they have entered into a licensing agreement with Napalm Records for the European distribution of The Sword’s new studio album, Apocryphon. Based in Germany, Napalm has been for many years the home to major hard rock and metal acts in Europe. To support its European release, The Sword will commence a three week headline tour of the UK, Europe, and Scandinavia beginning on January 6th.  Napalm recording artist Lonely Kamel will be one of the support acts with another act to be added.

At the recent UDON Entertainment panel at New York Comic Con, UDON it was announced that it has teamed up with Blizzard Entertainment to produce the next epic installment in their ‘Tribute’ series of deluxe art books: WORLD OF WARCRAFT® TRIBUTE! Maryland rockers CLUTCH have announced Earth Rocker as the title of their new studio album.  Earth Rocker is scheduled for a worldwide release in March of 2013 on CLUTCH‘s label Weathermaker Music.

That’s the question of the day..would you take a school whipping for the band KISS? Seems that’s exactly what happened to Dogbane guitarist Jerry Cloer. With the recent passing of guitarist David Ellenburg, the band is continuing a project they were in the midsts of before Davids passing, recording the KISS song “Charisma” for the up coming tribute album “Rock & Roll All Nite: A Tribute to Kiss: 1974 – 2013”.
