Green Day announced today they will cancel their club tour that was due to launch in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre on September 26th and wind down in Tempe, AZ at the Marquee Theatre on December 10th.  Tickets for these clubs shows will be refunded at point of purchase.   Additionally, Green Day will postpone all scheduled appearances for the months of January and February 2013.  New dates for these rescheduled shows will be announced shortly and previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new dates.  

The best just got bigger. Bringing their signature brand of rock ‘n’ roll back to the people, Bon Jovi will hit the road in 2013 to fill stadiums and arenas worldwide with “BON JOVI Because We Can – The Tour.” Blazing a trail across the globe, the band will kick off a string of Canadian dates on February 13th in Montreal, just in time for Valentine’s Day, and then continue to Toronto, Edmonton, Ottawa, Calgary and Winnipeg. With U.S. dates to be announced in the coming weeks, Bon Jovi will also tour throughout Europe, the Far East, Africa, Latin America and Australia. The group’s return to the road in 2013 will cap an incredible run which has secured Bon Jovi’s status as the essential live rock... 

For thirty years Killing Joke has been bringing a unique mixture of English post punk and industrial metal over seas to give the United States a taste of what mother England has to offer. This week they release their 15th album in the states, MMXII. Released in the UK on Spinefarm Records early last April, MMXII quickly took place as 44th in sales on the charts. With great excitement, we openly welcome it to our coast on October 30th.  

Three years. Three years is the amount of time that fans have waited to hear the latest work from fallen Gorgoroth members Gaahl and King. After a vicious dispute over rights to the name Gorgoroth, a new love child rose from the ashes of battered metal music, God Seed. Gaahl and King formed a new project with material meant for their previous band. An album in the works since 2009. A lyricist who has no dedication to finishing a a product without the most sincere hint of perfection added. So can we, the fans, finally expect a finished project that has had our faces turned to the media for so many years? Why yes we can.  

Since 1985, Neurosis has been bringing a mixture of heavy metal, acoustic, and punk to our ears landing them a spot to stay in the doom metal scene. Jose Carlos Santos of Terrorizer has stated that Neurosis is “arguably the most influential band of the past two decades.” With a slough of ever changing members, two decades, and a rise to fame following their tour in the 90’s with Pantera, It’s no surprise that the release of Neurosis’ new album Honor Found In Decay is eagerly awaited worldwide.  

Massachusetts face-melters ACARO have been added to the Killswitch Engage Tenth Anniversary “Alive or Just Breathing” Tour with Shadows Fall. The band will fill the opening slot for one of 2012’s most anticipated tours that will see a Jesse Leach-fronted Killswitch Engage performing their classic Alive or Just Breathing in its entirety. Few bands have what it takes to rise to such an occasion, but Acaro’s aggressive brand of melodic and modern thrash will undoubtedly fire up audiences as the band bulldozes a path across the nation.  

Bona fide heavy metal front woman and activist OTEP Shamaya has rallied up the tribe and is ready to deliver the first LIVE album of her career, entitled Sounds Like Armageddon, out November 6th. If you haven’t had a chance to see her in action now is your time to hear her roar.  

New York vets DEHUMANIZED have set November 27th as the release date for their long-awaited return to action, Controlled Elite.  

Metallica today announced that they will release a live DVD entitled “Quebec Magnetic” on December 10, 2012. The DVD captures the two World Magnetic live shows which took place in Quebec City in the fall of 2009.  

Dark Descent Records has recently inked (in blood) a deal with London blackened death metal band Lvcifyre for the release of their as-of-yet-untitled sophomore full-length, which is due out in early 2013. The band commented:
