Chicago‘s DIAMOND PLATE have officially revealed that their upcoming album is titled PULSE. Fans were kept in suspense each day last week as the album title was uncovered one letter at a time.  

Finnish progressive death metal band Barren Earth has parted ways with singer Mikko Kotamäki. The band announced that, “Due to conflicting schedules, Mikko cannot contribute to BARREN EARTH’s activities any longer. The decision was made by mutual agreement with absolutely no drama involved.  

DEVILDRIVER will be releasing their sixth studio album Winter Kills August 27th via Napalm Records.  Winter Kills is available in four configurations including a Deluxe Digibook with CD (including two bonus tracks: “Shudder” and “Back Down to the Grave”) and Live DVD (Featuring 45 minutes of live raw DEVILDRIVER power. No studio over dubs at all just the band at their best and includes fan favorites “Clouds over California” and “The Wretched”), standard CD version, digital version and for the first time in DEVILDRIVER history, a 2LP Gatefold edition (including the 2 bonus tracks and a digital download).  

Everywhere you look you cannot stop reading or hearing about what is going on with Lamb of God. After Randy’s release and exemption from charges, the bankruptcy of the band and what they are intending on doing about getting back into the scene has been spread all over sites and podcasts everywhere. As the band prepares to tour Europe in August, Blythe is busy recapping his experiences for fans.  

The legendary metal band has cancelled the remainder of their tour following the health scares that happened to Lemmy, the lead singer and bassist for the band. He was though to have contracted some form of hematoma. The band had cancelled a select few shows through their tour of Europe after a few incidents and have since decided to take themselves off of the bill from this point forward.  

Amon Amarth decided to make a rather big impression on the Mayhem Festival this summer by bringing a viking ship with them. Their new album, Deciever of the Gods is out now. These vikings wanted to make imminently sure that people would remember them. If this involved crafting a viking hull on stage then count them in.  

Nine Inch Nails is back. Their new album Hesitation Marks will be released on September 3rd of this year and their single “Came Back Haunted” has been released accompanied by a music video done by David Lynch.  

Following their recent performance at the Fifth Annual Scion Fest in Memphis, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY has announced live assaults for August. In addition to their already planned participation at Gwar’s annual BBQ, the trio will perform a headlining show in Wilmington, Delaware before heading to South America for a string of dates. The August shows mark a break from continued work in the recording studio on the band’s new album, expected for release in early 2014. “We need a little escape from the studio,” comments vocalist/bassist Mike Dean. “We thought it would be good to see the light of the day a little bit. We are excited to play Brazil, Peru, Columbia, and Argentina for the first time ever. Of course... 

D.O.A., the Hardcore Punk Kings are gearing up for a farewell tour of the America’s midwest and east coast this September. As well they will tour Europe and the U.K. this October. Canada’s punk godfather Joe Keithley will lead his talented henchmen: Dirty Dan Sedan (bass) and JJ Heath (drums) on a punk rock rampage to forty, soon to be shaken to the core, cities this fall. The Men of Action will employ their over the top, no holds barred, deafening combo of riffs, politics and humor to a wide collection of older D.O.A. classics, as well they will jolt you with some more recent nuggets as well. Volbeat returns to North America on August 23rd to headline the third installment of the Monster Energy Rock Allegiance Tour.  Since the band returned to Europe as a festival headliner for the late-Spring and Summer, their growth has shown no signs of slowing down.
