The legendary metal band has cancelled the remainder of their tour following the health scares that happened to Lemmy, the lead singer and bassist for the band. He was though to have contracted some form of hematoma. The band had cancelled a select few shows through their tour of Europe after a few incidents and have since decided to take themselves off of the bill from this point forward. Drummer Mikkey Dee revealed the news to GT.se that Motorhead are canceling shows and it’s not just because of a mild illness.
“Things are improving with Lemmy, but the doctors in Berlin are recommending that he rests for another couple of weeks. We can’t keep canceling show after show, it’s too costly. Therefore we unfortunately have to cancel the entire tour. There will be an official announcement regarding his health shortly… But we’re not canceling because of a cold and this is something we’ve put a lot of thought into.” The band reassured everybody that Lemmy is “alive, breathing, talking, f**king, drinking, eating, reading and will be back to playing shows shortly” last week, however it still seems like things are not being fortuitous for the metal legend. More news to come from the band about his health and what is to come.
