Set to take place on June 15th at The Black Castle in Los Angeles, the scathing, ten-band takeover will feature ear-bleeding performances by Disgorge (USA), Condemned, Arkaik, Unmerciful, Inanimate Existence, The Kennedy Veil, Alterbeast, Euphoric Defilement, Omnihility, and special guests, Mouth Of The Serpent.  

Santa Barbara-based experimental label imprint, Secrets Of Giza, is proud to present Gates by ABRE OJOS. ABRE OJOS is the audiovisual project of Scott Baker, a multimedia artist from Melbourne, Australia with over 20 years’ experience working across the areas of installation, experimental music, video and illustration. Baker’s ABRE OJOS is an exploration of synesthetic modalities using geometric animations and extreme audio frequencies. ABRE OJOS has released multiple DVDs and has performed live all over Australia, including performances at the Eclipse Festival 2012 and for the past four years at the Rainbow Serpent Festival.  

Almost by definition, musical side projects aren’t meant to last very long, but rather serve as brief, often one-time departures for musicians otherwise engaged with far more pressing or successful bands — and that’s why GREENLEAF has proved itself to be anything but your typical “side project.” Yes, this Scandinavian music collective have gone through a revolving cast since their arrival on the scene, much like an auditory Y2K virus in that fateful millennium flip; but the one constant bond that has repeatedly drawn them together, every few years, like an irresistible gravitational force, is a shared musical vision, straddling the realms of stoner and alternative rock. Such was the case when GREENLEAF... 

Tragic Hero Records has signed the metalcore group Illuminate Me and have plans to release their debut album I have Become The Corpse this summer. What started as a studio project, Illuminate Me quickly became one of south Florida’s most intense and energetic live acts.

Death metal icons ORIGIN premiere a brand new song entitled “Manifest Desolate”. It is the first track to be revealed from ORIGIN’s upcoming 6th album, “Omnipresent”, set to be released on July 4th in Europe via Agonia Records (July 8th in North America via Nuclear Blast). “Manifest Desolate” is available in the form of a video featuring album formats  

SWORN ENEMY will release their new album Living on Borrowed Time tomorrow via Rock Ridge Music/ADA. SWORN ENEMY continues their legacy with the addition of new guitarist Matt Garzilli, and bassist Mike Puccciarelli.    

Selfmadegod Records has just inked a deal with revolutionary grindcore act BRUTAL BLUES, and is preparing to release their self-titled debut mini-album.  

As some of you know, a while back Killswitch Engage split with their second vocalist, Howard Jones. The split was fairly amicable, by all accounts, and the band moved on to recruit their first singer, Jesse Leach (Times of Grace), back into the fold of KSE. Now, after hearing nothing from Mr. Jones, we have a brand new band with a familiar face throwing some aggression at our listening holes: Devil You Know.  

Gypsyhawk will be hitting the road again this summer for a series of headlining shows, as well as shows with Black Pussy and Scattered Hamlet! The tour begins on Tuesday in LA at Club Loaded, and wraps up on July 18 in Reno, NV. The extensive tour will see the band performing brand new songs while they wind their way across towns in Canada, the pacific northwest, the Midwest, and the east coast.
