Ah, Record Store Day! When all things vinyl are sought after on near fanatical levels, by people ranging from aficionados to merely the curious. Where one might walk in with next to no knowledge, and just by being in the room and being a keen listener, might glean enough knowledge from just passing conversations to be considered a pro.  

Boris Records has released the self-titled debut EP from Atlanta rockers GUNPOWDER GRAY. Released Saturday to commemorate Record Store Day, the first 100 copies of the vinyl edition of the EP are available on purple vinyl. All copies after will come in standard black vinyl. The EP is also available as a digital download.  

UK-based masters of everything heavy, depressive and oppressive, EYE OF SOLITUDE, have just announced a string of live dates with country-mates The Drowning and Netherlands’ Faal. The tour will take place from June 4 – 9 and will see the party come to the UK, Netherlands and Belgium.  

Following its initial CD and digital release in October, THEOLOGIAN‘s latest full-length, Some Things Have To Be Endured, will receive a deluxe vinyl release from Crucial Blast on July 22nd, 2014. This new LP edition of the album will come in gatefold packaging and feature completely different artwork from the CD version previously released by Crucial Blast, using the evocative and disturbing images of NY photographer Gretchen Heinel. The vinyl will be pressed on blood-red wax in an edition of five hundred copies, and will include a digital download of the album.
