Does anybody remember the days of old, when bands used to go for technical proficiency with their instruments? And I don’t mean bands that were Progressive or Technical. I mean bands with guitarist like Skulnick, Marty Friedman, and the ever immortal shredster Yngwie Malmsteem? when tapping was simply a way to work into the next couple thousand notes that just made your speakers weep with exhaustion when you finally passed out from headbanging to the beat? I do. And I finally found a band that does too! they are Exmortus, and they kick all the ass.
Portuguese legendary death/grind outfit HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL has revealed the cover artwork (below) from the upcoming EP «Larvas» to be released via Bizarre Leprous Production. Conceived by guitarist Eduardo F., the cover portrays a bloody eye being opened by surgical tools while a worm silently slithers into the iris. CREMATORY has premiered another video from Antiserum. The video for the song “Kommt Näher” was directed by Dirk Weiler. CREMATORY no longer need to fear comparison with the international competition, Germany’s most popular Gothic Metal Band having earned itself an excellent reputation at home and abroad over the past 23 years. One reason for this is the great recognition value of their songs, along with the band’s characteristic style and their unconditional determination to continue to grow as artists. None of their albums so far are a copy of any of their predecessors; each of them is an independent recording with unique features and fresh ideas.
