Integrity are a bit of an interesting band. At twelve albums into their career, the band still manages to surprise listeners, even when they claim to be familiar with their sound. TMZ is reporting the Chester Bennington, Lead singer of the band Linkin Park, has committed suicide. Cause of death by hanging. Bennington was found at his private residence in L.A. County this morning, Thursday, July 20th at 9 am. Linkin Park rose to fame in the late 90’s – 2000’s and gave rise to “Nu- Metal” as bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit and others popularized the genre. Bennington spoke in the past about suicide as he struggled with drugs and child abuse. The band was currently on the “One More Light Tour”. More info as it comes.
Ensiferum are the folk metal band that everyone is exposed to at some point or another. Typically when you think of folk metal and the sonic aspects of it, Ensiferum is the first band that’ll comes to mind. While the band has been steady with their releases in the past few years, they always manage to resurface just as you’re beginning to wonder where they went. Following that trend, the band have revealed their new album, Two Paths, is on the way.
EYEHATEGOD will kick off a thirty-nine-date US mega tour next month. The Left To Starve summer takeover will commence on August 1st, run through September 13th, and includes performances with Capitalist Casualties, Phobia, Primitive Man, Negative Approach, Antiseen, Cro-Mags, Pig Destroyer, The Obsessed, and Mountain Of Wizard on select dates! The journey also marks frontman Mike IX Williams’ lengthiest tour since undergoing liver transplant surgery this past December.
While on their run opening for Metallica a few months ago, Volbeat had originally scheduled an headlining date in New Jersey. The day before the show, the band were forced to reschedule it as vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen went to be with his wife, who had just given birth back in Denmark. Fulfilling their promise to make the date up, Volbeat returned to New Jersey Monday night, the 17th, and with it they brought up a few surprises.
