Washington, DC-based DARKEST HOUR has booked a run of East Coast tour dates for this November. This succinct but vital trek sees the long-running metal quintet headlining with support from some of their hand-picked favorite hometown scene acts.  

Vienna-based industrial post-rock collective PHAL:ANGST will unleash their fourth full-length, Phase IV, next month via Bloodshed666 Records.  

Platinum-selling alternative band BLUE OCTOBER’s  long-awaited ninth studio album I Hope You’re Happy (Out now on Up/Down-Brando Records) has debuted on the Billboard charts this week with the following positions:  

Doom rock icons THE OBSESSED will take to the streets next month on a near-two-week US tour alongside Eyehategod. The journey kicks off September 12th in Hamden, Connecticut and runs through September 24th in Memphis, Tennessee. See all confirmed dates below.  

BROADSIDE has announced a co-headlining tour, The Love And Loathing In Paradise Tour, with friends With Confidence. Joining all dates will be Sleep On It and Small Talks. The tour kicks off in BROADSIDE’s home of Los Angeles on November 14, before circling the country and coming to an end in Anaheim, CA on December 14. Tickets go on sale this Friday local time.  

Jack Russell’s Great White will embark on the Sirius/XM Hair Nation Tour from coast to coast. This extravaganza is starting at the House of Blues in San Diego, CA – Wednesday, September 12th and ending November 3rd in Dallas, TX at the House of Blues.  

2018 is the year of death metal, make no mistake. Be it the bands who stick to tradition or the new up-and-coming bands that are trying something new, this year has been one of the best for the genre in a little while. Take a look at some of the smaller bands that are working to make their name:  

Currently working on the follow-up to 2015’s The Anthropocene Extinction, Cattle Decapitation has officially welcomed Belisario Dimuzio (Eukaryst; guitar) and Olivier Pinard (Cryptopsy; bass) to their ranks! The band comments: “We’re pleased to announce the new lineup that will appear on our next album due out in fall 2019! Many of you who have come to our shows in the past couple of years have seen that we have had a 2nd guitarist on stage with us for the first time in the band’s existence.  

Best known as the original vocalist and founding member of the platinum selling hard rock band RATT, Stephen Pearcy has announced the release of his highly anticipated fifth solo album, “View To A Thrill” on November 9, 2018 on CD/LP/Digital via Frontiers.  

ADELITAS WAY, whose hard work ethic has made them a household name, have entered into a management deal with FM Music Management. The band will be joinging FM Music Management’s impressive roster which includes Nonpoint, Kataklysm, Through Fire, Royal Bliss, Deadset Society, Keith Wallen, Spoken and more. In addition, the band has announced that they will be on tour this summer in support of FOZZY beginning August 25th at the Saturn Stone Broken in Birmingham, AL.
