Entertainment One (eOne) has signed Denton, Texas’ CREEPING DEATH to a worldwide deal with plans to release an all-new LP next year. With an origin story from a state with so much metal history, the band is eager to enter the studio.  

Urban Legends, the urban catalog platform of Universal Music Enterprises (UMe), and Marvel Comics are collaborating to bring together the mighty, epic worlds of comics and hip hop with an ongoing exclusive album series that will feature variant covers for select collector’s editions of some of the record label’s most legendary hip hop releases.  

Grammy nominated Danish band Volbeat confirms seventeen new tour dates with Godsmack throughout the U.S. and Canada in April and May of 2019. The tour will kick off with a string of dates in U.S. as special guests to Godsmack before the pair embark on a cross-country coheadline tour of Canada (full dates below). Additionally, two tiers of enhanced experiences will be available for these dates, a “Meet & Greet + Backstage Tour Experience” and a “Fast Track + Early Entry Package,” and full information is available here.  

Swedish trio MONOLORD announce North American headlining tour dates throughout Spring 2019. The 22-date tour commences April 19 in San Diego, CA and ends, May 11 in Orange County, CA. Includes two festival performances at the inaugural Psycho Smokeout 420 & Desert Fest NYC.  

SOJOURNER is a folk-influenced atmospheric metal band with members from New Zealand, Sweden, and Italy. Their sound combines epic, ethereal elements with the aggression of black metal, evoking the sweeping, melancholic atmospheres of nature.

In 2017, Memphis rockers Tora Tora were approached by Frontiers Music Srl about recording a proper new studio album and they enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity. The resulting new album, “Bastards Of Beale,” set for release on February 22nd, brings back the magic of the band’s blues-rooted hard rock sound that gained them a loyal following upon their debut in the late ’80s. Always a far cry from their more polished mainstream peers and more spiritually connected to blue collar hard rock, the band’s return picks up where they left off, while not sounding even the slightest bit dated.  

Danish composer, vocalist and classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Myrkur, is the project of Amalie Bruun, who unveils two ethereal new studio tracks with producer Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Paradise Lost, Solstafir) at Orgone Studios in Bedfordshire, England.  

On January 25th, King Diamond will release a new DVD/Blu-ray, Songs For The Dead Live, via Metal Blade Records.
